| Envy - hunting and bird retrieving pics Envy 10 weeks - our first time in the field with her. I hope this is OK to post here. A few of you asked what our plans were...I don't know that she'll run big enough to get a field champion title BUT we will be pursuing hunt tests, hunting etc with her. She's a blast!
I'm not 100% sure she was really pointing. It was a freeze before the chase. But he hunt trainer says that's what a point really is, so I'll take it.
WEEEEEE
The retrieve - she surprised me and not only grabbed it
but carried it around and enjoyed it
She also tried to walk on water Unlike Dobes most Vizslas naturally swim and she did

| Yep, that is definitely a point! Great job Envy.
We had a Vizsla for 14 years. Passed last year. He was a great family dog, but we could not get him past being gun shy. Worked with several trainers.
He would point, scent and pick up any bird in practice, but bring out a shotgun and he was off running under the truck to hide.
We now have 3 labs we use for hunting. They love it.
Love the picture where he is prancing around with it in his mouth. |

| That picture of her carrying the bird is just about the cutest thing ever and makes me want to cover her in hugs and - not to sound like a creeper or anything - hang it on the wall. The picture itself is just beautiful in an artistic way.
Keep those pictures coming!

| Wow! what a quality dog!
What birds are they?
Is it quail?
My mates dog, a german pointer/something short mix, retrieved a quail, brought it back to him then proceeded to swallow it like a snake poor bird was still alive too.
It's a weird dog though, it has an extremely soft mouth but if he catches you whilst playing tug his jaws are like a vice, even stronger than my EBT. |

Envy, Havoc and Gabby all hav very soft retrieves and have brought birds back alive. Gabby and Envy have very TOUGH tugging mouths on the toy (none have ever gotten my hand). Envy hangs on the toy like a shark. Havoc not so much
