| | Alpha | Oh Damn, not what I was hoping to hear... We lost our Dobe to an abdominal hemangiosarcoma this summer- those aggressive cancers are impossible to predict and steal our beloved furkids far too soon. I am so very sorry!!! |

| I'm so sorry to hear this news. I know that I don't even need to say, love him up and soak in every minute you have, comfort each other. Sending thoughts and prayers for strength, peace, and comfort your way.

| | Alpha | I'm sorry your heart is breaking over your super-special kitty. I too had a "once in a lifetime" cat. He died of adenocarcinoma last year at 15 years old. Chip loved his Doberman too, like I can see your Reebok does in the pics of Reebok and Remy. I'm thinking of you, and wishing you great strength to make it through this. |

| This sucks, but you can do this.
He needs you to walk him thru this crossing, and you and he will keep talking, even after he goes to the bridge.
Yell if you need us. If you just want to tell Reebok stories and share pictures or funny things he does, anything.
I hope you have some lovely times ahead and I know you will make the most of the time left.

| I had one of those special cats, too....David. He was 1/2 cat 1/2 dog...I was the only human her REALLY liked. He did all his business outside, never attacked the furniture, LOVED the dogs. At 14 he basically quit eating, and I did everything I could to bribe him. He loathed "other people", and I kept putting off taking him in to be PTS....I just couldn't put him thru being handled by others in his last few minutes. I regretted my decision....and learned a lesson from it.
For the time being just keep an eye on him....did the vet give you anything to help with the fluid retention? Love him up all you can. I truly feel for you...I never thought I was a cat person, but David really got to me...

| Literally crying while reading this, and haven't been a cat person since about 8 years ago when I said bye to my heart kitty. Had her from when I was 2-16 and held her while they euthanized her. We waited too long. She was so dehydrated her veins had practically shriveled up, and it took forever for her to let go. It was one of the worst times of my life.
My husband is mildly allergic to cats, and I'd hate risking bringing one home and finding out it didn't work out. Plus, with three prey-driven dogs (a working line Doberman and two Italian Greyhounds)- I wouldn't wish it on any cat.
I hope you can find some comfort during this difficult time. You WILL find another cat that will have a special place in your heart, just not the same, and that's ok. You'll know when it is time to say goodbye. I hope it is as painless as possible for your sweet cat, and that you cherish the good memories you two shared. |

| I am so sorry you have bad news. Our Phat Cat, former barn cat, was lively and playful up until about the last month of his life. He had hyperthyroid and kidney failure and cancer. Once he stopped eating, really, he was done. It's just hard for us to let them be done.
And we miss them. Yeah, we miss them. I wish you comfort.

| Thank you, truly, everyone I kissed my sweet boy goodbye for the last time and held him as he crossed.
A note in Rainbow Bridge to follow.
Please give your special kitties some extra love tonight in honor of a little black cat named Reebok. He meant the world to me. |
