| What a cutie! The vet suggested with timid fosters or even ferrel fosters to take and sleep with an old blanket- and an old shirt on for 3 nights than put it by his kennel so he starts to associate your smell with his safe place.  | I just wanted to post another update on Karl with his new family. It has been almost 2 months and he is doing well. I got this message the other day:
"Hey Kim- We took Karl to the vet today for just a check up. The vet said you took amazing care of him and that we got lucky with a very good, well trained adopted dog. Great job. We are so lucky to have him!"

And this one with the message:
"I wasn't surprised to see him wiggle his way in between them but I was sad that he ran over ME to get to them!!!"   My heart is happy.

| Thanks again! It was really hard saying goodbye to Karl, but every picture and update I get makes me SOOOO HAPPY!! Instead of having to be crated a lot and rotated with my other dogs, splitting only my attention (which he still loved and adored), now he has 4 humans to love only him and spend only a few days a week alone.
I told him before I dropped him off..."Karl, I know you probably don't believe this is possible, but there is an even better life out there for you." Now he is living it.

When I started the thread it really was for support in terms of suggestions for his rehab (or if it would even be possible). But by the end it turned into emotional support for me! ha ha
I guess that is why people blog and stuff though. It really was nice to be able to kind of chronicle the journey I went through with him while being able to dialogue with lots of people who get it along the way.
