Some pictures of my gorgeous puppy! She is so much fun, so full of life and so crazy! Also is really a very good puppy! High energy, but well behaved for the most part. Excited to see how big she is going to get, her legs have straightened out now, some people saying she won't get much taller? She is currently around 34cms (13 inch I think?). To stay in the second smallest agility height class, she needs to stay under 43cms (16ish inches), she is so tiny and cute at this size too

Mum says I have long legs for a little puppy!


This is my friend Murder, I like to lick his nose and chase him in the garden, he likes to try scare me








We chase each other around the pen, when I leave he gets sad and wants me back!

Oh and all the puppies at our play date are the same age, check out the size difference! The giant Schnauzer boys were born on Oct 11, Elsie was born Oct 13, and Holly the Poodle x was born Oct 14. Elsie and Holly are both around 5kg (around 11lb), while the 2 giant boys are 15kgs (around 33lb)!

She just has legs for miles haha, and the sweetest little terrier face... I just keep grabbing her soft little muzzle and planting big kisses on her face (muzzle grabbing is so she doesn't snap my nose off LOL). I've never met a puppy that isn't clumsy before her, she just doesn't do clumsy puppy things hehe

Wow yeah, they are very similar! The ears look similar, though Elsie's only really stand up in the wind! The colour and build are quite similar too- what's the history behind the rat terrier? We don't have them here...

Rat Terriers originated in England, crosses of the now extinct White English Terrier, Bulldog-Terrier mixes, Black & Tan Terrier, Manchester Terrier, Smooth Fox Terrier...then emigrated to the USA, and were crossed with Native American Feist dogs, Beagles for nose, Whippet for sight hunting & temperament, crossing back and forth to Manchesters and SFT's up into the 1990s. In some lines Basenji were introduced prior to breed recognition by UKC in 1999.

In Australia, there is a terrier breed that comes close in looks & history. It's called the Tenterfield Terrier.

Looks & temperament wise, the Danish-Swedish Farm dog also comes close.

She looks to be a real pistol. She reminds me of Lucky at that age. Lucky is a Standard Rat Terrier (we're 99% sure), and has button ears, not upright like you usuallly see. I saw a video of a Danish-Swedish Farmdog doing a CAT on YouTube, and I did get the Rat Terrier (or possibly kangaroo) impression.
