| Another cruelty case I am surprised that the maximum penalty for this is a $2000 fine and a year in jail!! This is so sad. Dead animals found in pot, freezer - Life - MSNBC.com

| I will never understand cases like this - though it doesn't say it specifically, the article implies the people were living there, how? How could anyone live like that? Not only did the abuse the animals but they were abusing themselves.
They found the decomposing remains of an unidentified animals in a pot on the stove? Sick, sick, sick people!

| I agree i cant see how its only a couple thousand and a year in jail. Its horrible . I also dont understand how other people dont get involved before it gets this bad. You would think one of the two of them would one day say wait somethings wrong here and try to get help.

| These cases are very sad but more common than people know. We investigate over 1200 Animal Cruelty cases every year in my city. I just arrested a guy for having over 50 cats in a house and a woman for leaving 2 dogs outside in 92 degree heat without water or shelter. One of her dogs died because of her neglect. These people rarely do any time for their crimes and sometimes they get their pets back. Very sad indeed!!!! |

| I have to wonder how old the mother is in this case and her physical health also. I wonder if there is more than animal abuse going on. I just can't imagine what those animals went through. The ones that died may have been the lucky ones. Imagine being the surviving animals from what we know about how our pets react to the death of their companions. Very, very sad. |

| I agree it sound like mental illness. I wonder where they got all those animals? I mean did they some of them from someone?

| | Big Pup | I couldn't even read the whole story...that is absolutely horrible. The things people do to each other let alone animals. I'm from Ohio, and I heard on the news the morning that a 5 year old boy was admitted to a hospital in Canton...It was later discovered that his foster/adoptive (not sure which) parents had tied him to his bed with shoe strings, beaten him, and withheld water and food. He is in the beginning stages of kidney failure and had been severely beaten recently.
People with sick minds disgust me…especially those that feel the urge to do SICK things to children and animals. |
