These two are certainly ready for the world! They are little hell-raisers already! Definitely the most active newborns I have ever had! | Here's Grayby, my little hell-raiser (male/std gray)!

Here's Grayby, my little hell-raiser (male/std gray)! | I just commented in your gallery! He's very sweet. Ohhh the days of having one chin... I had a single chin once... I still have her, she's one of my "non-breeding trio." She's a real brat too!
Honestly though, I can't imagine my life without them. I might be able to live without dogs, or even rats, but not chinchillas.
Oh! And the kits are doing great. Their evening weights were as follows:
Female (V5) held steady at 56 grams.
Male (V6) gained several and is up to 51 grams! |

I also adore how he is dog-like in that he's not a prey animal and doesn't get scared by every single noise (unlike my bunny). To watch him sleep so peacefully is funny: in his 'house', on the floor, under a log thing, in his hammock...I nicknamed him 'beggar boy' because he sleeps everywhere!

However, the ones who have been captive bred are getting less and less flighty and nervous. |

I think I was overly-excited describing my chin because he's so brave, esp vs my ultra-timid rabbit lol. Grayby sleeps through everything!
