| Hello from North Georgia! This is Crixus he's a year and 3 months old. I adopted him through a rescue on 2/2/13 which he's been abused from the last adopters! He's my first Doberman. I've always worked with the breed and have wanted a Doberman since I was a child. I also own 3 blk&tan Miniature Pinschers and 1 red German Pinscher. The previous adopters never got him neutered so he just got neutered last thursday needless to say had some toys overnighted since he's been restricted on playing (He's a chewer so had to buy new toys). |

| Thanks! Here's a little background.
Crixus is kept away from my other dog's unless supervised. He's been in a foster home since he was a small puppy around about 12 other dogs male and female. I do know about same sex aggression so thats why I watch him. He's attached to playing with my male min pin though and Mai Tai is the other puppy in my pack. Crixus normally hung out with a 2lb Chi before I got him.
He's been trained in 2 languages as well. The girl fostering him was a vet tech, pet sitter, groomer, and studying to be a DVM. She adopted him out to what seemed to be people who would care for him, but dumped him back on her and while evaluating him noticed he showed signs of being abused. I have worked in the pet field as vet tech, pet sitter, & etc. He's extremely good with my son who just turned 1. My son has never hit a dog and is gentle since I have been exposing him to the dogs since he was really small & working with him about being gentle & not touching strangers dogs(pet peeve).
My husbands currently deployed in Afghanistan. I plan on working with Crixus when he returns so everything adjusts smoothly. Crixus doesn't mind people coming to visit so far and doesn't seem to guard the house either thankfully. I have put my husband's shirts in Crixus crate to get used to his smell as well in efforts for when he returns. I have worked with so many breeds, but the Pinscher breed is the only one I absolutely love. |
