| | Lil Pup | Hi! Hey everyone. I'm new here. I actually came across this site when looking up reputable breeders. My husband and I are thinking about in the next year or so getting another Dobie, but haven't decided yet if we will rescue again or buy. Rescuing came with a lot of mental and physical problems, many of which were avoidable. So we haven't made our mind up yet.
We have a doberman, Sasha. Despite her mental and physical issues we still fell in love with the breed. She's come a long, long way since the day we brought her home. Unfortunately she has a slew of heath issues including renal failure (stage 3) so her time is limited more than most. But we are making the best of what we have and trying to slow down the disease as much as possible. She is only 3, almost 4 now.
We also have a pitty mix, a lab and a hound. All but the lab are rescues. Other than dogs we have goats (lamanchas), horses, chickens, reptiles, etc. We are trying to be self sufficient and raise all our own food and meats. We're not there yet, but we're trying.
We are very active with all our dogs, except for the hound who isn't really good for anything except barking at the other dogs and holding the couch down. Lol! She still hikes with us, but is just as happy not doing anything. Our love and the three black dogs love is dock diving!
Anyway, I'm sure pictures are better than words...
Sasha and her daddy.
Sasha doing Big Air (How far she can jump)
Extreme Vertical (How high she can jump and get the bumper hanging up)
Speed Retrieve (How fast she can get bumper from end of pool) One of her beach trips...
Blizzard, our lab girl.
Axel...

| Welcome to DT. I LOVE the "Leave It" picture. You have some great breeders in North Carolina: Allure, Goldgrove, Taladega, Scudamore and Clariion are what I can come up with off the top of my head. I believe all have websites, just google.

| Welcome
You do have a full house. I love the pic with all the treats on the ground spelling leave it. What ever you choose rescue, breeder or other breed. This place has alot of great people that do not mind telling you what they think. The good and bad. I do not think you would have a problem here those. Your pack looks great and it looks like you really do want what is best for your 4 legged family members. |

| Hi! Looks like your family is great. I love all the action pictures so thank you for sharing them with us. Please feel free to ask many questions you might have in regards to breeders and hopefully if you do decide to get another you will pick a great breeder if you decide not to rescue! Welcome and enjoy your stay!!!

We do know we want a drivey dog, so we will be looking from working breeders. Or if we rescue I'll probably go with a young adult. I thought about fostering and seeing if one becomes a foster failure. Right now we're just talking and thinking though, haven't made up our minds. Quote:

I have heard of several of the one's you listed, too.
