| Hello from Wyoming, from a Beauceron Hi there, Sarah and Haliaka here.
I found this site while looking up more in depth info on ear posting, of which you host a wonderful topic for!
Hali and I love dobermans and she is constantly being mistaken for a Dobe/ Sheppard cross :/ but its not so bad when being compared to a Doberman. |

| Her call name is Hali, then with a phonetic aka, both long a's. Its Hawiian meaning "House Leader".
2012 was H's for the breed, once I saw that name I got stuck on it |

I did end up making the decision to begin breeding once she is 3 years old. It took a lot of research to decide, but I am looking forward to contributing to the breed.
My Hali has been a wonderful ambassador as the only Beauceron that I know of in my area, perhaps in the state. |

| Thank you for joining us!! I absolutely love Beaucerons, I have had a chance to meet a couple and I find them very interesting dogs. I have a yet to meet a Merle in person though. They are sort of on my short list of breeds that I may consider trying one day if the right time and right dog comes along. The double dew claws would take some getting used to though

| Welcome to DT. I was e-mailed prior to the birth of Vandermoorhond's 2012 summer litter. I was set on a harlequin female (there was one with some white on her...or him?) was interested), but then Rouleaux's accidental arrival came and well... a beautiful Beauceron will have to wait for now. But please, like ZeldaRules said, please keep us updated!
I have since put my Beauceron research on hold to raise my dobie boy, but I am willing to learn from the expert!!!!

Ive never met anything like a Beauceron, to be sure. She has me hooked on them, I think I found my forever breed.
Lol Im pretty sure she is raising herself and putting up with me flapping at her. |

I still have the waiting list e-mail in my "Puppy Mail" file in my e-mail account. It was hard to turn down, but I couldn't pass up my boy.

Nice to see a Beauceron on the board. I lost my Blaze girl way back in 2001.

| Welcome to DT! I hope you are only considering breeding her by the guidance of your breeder and only after having shown/titled her and doing full health testing. There are far too many homeless dogs out there to take any shortcuts when considering bringing puppies into this world! Maybe if you stick around DT long enough you will consider a doberman companion too? Quote:

I dont know how you could live life without them once you've had one.
Lol, I suppose a Doberman would make a good substitute |

My wish would be to better the breed, as well as as doing my best to help her to be a good ambassador for the breed.
Sadly I live in a very rural area, so the first show nearby isnt until March, but we are working with the local kennel club to get her ready.
My breeders Vet said that my girls sire had the tightest hips in the breed, with a PennHip of 0.19, her dam has 0.23.
If her newest import does well, that will be Hali's first mating. Ive met him, he would niceely compliment her. He's not quite two yet, and of course I have a few years to go before I would consider breeding her.
I do have a thing for Dobes. I would probably have one already if not for where I lived. Ive seen people cross main street to not walk by them. It is very upsetting to me. But I would not want to raise a Dobe in that enviornment.
Silly rural towns people lol. |

Worst is if she doesnt get enough play time in. She needs a lot of excersise to be able to contain herself the whole time its dark outside lol.
Luckily we got a lighted ball for playing fetch when I get off work late |
