| Hi and welcome to DT. I am happy you are asking questions and doing your homework.
If I am mistaken, please let me know, but you must be 22 or 23 because if 1990 (as stated in your username) is the year you were born, you are my age
Anyway, please post pictures. I can't tell you how many dogs are passed off as "half doberman" that are not.
I would check your paperwork (hopefully you have some paperwork, buyer's agreement, etc.) to make sure you don't have anything in the written agreement pertaining to cosmetically altering this pet.
IMHO if it is a mix, leave it be as far as "looking" like a dobie. In any case, most vets will not CROP a mixed breed unless it is medically necessary. I am not sure how the laws are in your area, but in NY most vets WILL NOT CROP PIT EARS (Even if mixed) because a majority of pits are mixed anyway. If it is not a full blooded doberman, I would not advise cropping or docking simply because you are not sure of the genetic make up of this dog in particular.
Docking the tail isn't a "snip snip" procedure anymore at this age and becomes much more invasive as far as orthopedics and how are you to know the ears will stand at all even with months to years of taping.
I wouldn't advise this.
But congrats on your new little one.
Pictures please! (maybe we can try to make hide or hair of what your dog is mixed with...)

| Welcome!
I agree, leave her natural. If you choose to own a cropped doberman or pitbull in the future please do so through a reputable breeder, as they will do the dirty work of this procedure for you. |

| She's cute. I'd leave her ears and tail natural. |

| Leave her natural. Any vet who would crop and dock an 11 week old pit/dobe mix is not reputable and would probably do a poor job. |

| Welcome to you and your cute puppy.
I'm just going to echo what everybody else has said - don't crop (ears) or dock (tail) your puppy. She will be just as good a dog with her ears floppy and tail long.

| Oh, look at her! She is adorable, but I don't think that as an adult dog, having floppy ears will necessarily make people take her less seriously. There are members who have natural dogs who are just as formidable as cropped and docked dogs.
Welcome! |
