First doberman

Well hello all. I'm Max. I am a first time doberman owner. We we shopping for a puppy and ended up rescuing our new best friend... Zeus, A 2.5 year old Dobbie. He was just an amazing opportunity because he was an owner surrender due to a divorce of a k-9 officer, so his temperment and obediance are the best I've probobly seen with any dog (we need to work on pulling on the leash but so far that is IT). He's certinally no tiny puppy but we are excited to welcome him to our family.

I will post pics as soon as I can figure out how on my iPhone.
I don't know that we rescued Zeus so much as he rescued us.
Instead of dealing with low quality back yard breeders or getting out of our financial depths we got this amazing dog who is allready super, loving to our kids and so much more than we had expected.

More good news tonight he took to the Raw diet (we are trying to do raw/holistic diet. He had been on black gold as a puppy but moved to "gravy train" and low cost dog food when money had gotten tight for his owners and he hadn't adjusted).

So day one he's doing well... I just want to start doing a sport with him because he seems to intensely desire a "purpose" at all times.
