Cool Greetings From Florida

Well met!

I've actually been a member of DobermanTalk for a short while now. As a matter of fact, I've been reading on here for almost 1 year prior to me actually signing up for an account (thankfully Guests can see pictures on here!), researching the many aspects of the Doberman breed.

Though I've never spoken with any of you, I've read so many posts and stories from the members here at DT that I feel as though I already "know" some of you. From reading New Members Intros to Breeder Insight posts. From following the progress of your cute little puppy growing into a gorgeous adult. Reading about Puppy Mills getting busted. From laughing at some of your silly photos to tearing up when reading about a friend making the journey to the Rainbow Bridge...

I originally decided I wouldn't contribute to any discussions until I had a Doberman (for one reason or another). And while I don't have a Doberman *yet*, I'm close enough to where I thought I'd go ahead and make one of these "New Member Introduction" posts.

So, without further ado, allow myself to introduce...myself.

My name is Justin, and my wife (Adel) and I are soon-to-be Doberman owners!! We live in North-Central Florida. I grew up in a household with Rhodesian Ridgebacks and my wife grew up with Rottweilers.

After many, many, many months of research, breeder communication, and house visits...it's *finally* happening!

We're getting a male puppy from the most recent litter that was co-bred by Carol Petruzzo / Mary Ann Zuckerman / Eric Glofka / John Dolan.

The Sire is MBIS.MBISS.AM.GCH Tiburon Arsenal "Gunner" (owned by John Dolan) and the Dam is WAC CGC Carosel Just Like A Woman "Lucia" (owned by Eric Glofka). I believe my puppy has "extended family" on DT. MBIS MBISS GCH Tiburon Ariel Bella Dona, I believe. Maybe even more? How cool is that?!

To say that we're excited would be the understatement of a lifetime!

Thank you for the wealth of knowledge you've curated here. I honestly don't know what I'd have done without this incredible resource. Seriously, thank you!

I look forward to speaking with you more in the days, months and years ahead. I'll update this post with pictures once our puppy is home. SO EXCITED!!!

Also, my wife and I will be meeting up with Carol and Eric at the Pasco Florida Kennel Club this Saturday, January 14th, in case anyone else will be in the area. We'll be the couple that's "oohing and ahhing" over all the beautiful Dobies!!

Welcome and so glad to meet you on DT forum! Sounds like the waiting and researching paid off and you are getting your puppy from a solid foundation and pedigree. Very exciting and I can't wait to hear when you get your puppy. Sometimes waiting for that right puppy can be like waiting 9 months for a new baby!

Well, I guess I am the bad guy... What is your address?

I need to check the living conditions of this puppy.

Congrats! I am jealous.

There, I said it.

Are you a man of wealth & taste? Sorry couldn't help myself, it's the Stones fan in me coming out.

Welcome from England.

Congrats on your upcoming addition to your family, how long before you bring your new pup home?

Are you getting a red or black? If red, keep well away from Stryker's Person. No red dobe is safe when she's around.

I apologize for the delayed response. Between prepping for the Puppy and taking a not-long-enough Vacation my wife and I have been busy, to say the least!

Thank you all for the warm welcome.

We had a blast at the show and met a number of wonderful people.

It's with the biggest smile on my face that I can *FINALLY* say....

HE'S HOME!!!

Meet Kaiser! A name that he'll grow into, no doubt. He's Red and absolutely gorgeous! I have many more pictures and videos but these are the only ones I have on this computer that are worth looking at. My wife is the photographer so all I have are shoddy cell phone pics with bad angles and even worse lighting.

The ears have since been re-posted by Dr. Leigh McBride. He goes back again on Friday for another re-post. I'm hoping she'll instruct me on her method but if not I'll make use of documentation on here.

This was from the day they graded the litter. I...edited (lol)...Carol out of the photos because I haven't asked permission from her to post her picture online.

When I get some time I'll get proper pictures of him with good lighting. I'll probably make a new thread when I do so this doesn't morph from an Introduction into a stockpile of images.

Nice pics; nice puppy!

Enjoy him while he’s little (in between cleaning unwanted poop and pee up). They grow fast.

If you’re into pictures, it’s alway fun to have them sit up against something like a door frame or certain chair and take pictures of him every month or so...then you’ll have a fun record of him as he changes through the next year or two (or even beyond. )

I was thinking we might be friends, FLDobie.

But, you went and showed me a red boy... I will have to think about this...

Teasing you!

Thank you guys for the kind words!

Stryker, I remembered what JobeyV said up above when I went to pick him up and I thought of you. lol

His Registered name is Carosel V Epic Gangster of Love - because he's such a lover and it fit their theme...which I'd need to make sure I have 'my facts right' before I elaborate on.
