I've actually been a member of DobermanTalk for a short while now. As a matter of fact, I've been reading on here for almost 1 year prior to me actually signing up for an account (thankfully Guests can see pictures on here!), researching the many aspects of the Doberman breed.
Though I've never spoken with any of you, I've read so many posts and stories from the members here at DT that I feel as though I already "know" some of you. From reading New Members Intros to Breeder Insight posts. From following the progress of your cute little puppy growing into a gorgeous adult. Reading about Puppy Mills getting busted. From laughing at some of your silly photos to tearing up when reading about a friend making the journey to the Rainbow Bridge...
I originally decided I wouldn't contribute to any discussions until I had a Doberman (for one reason or another). And while I don't have a Doberman *yet*, I'm close enough to where I thought I'd go ahead and make one of these "New Member Introduction" posts.
So, without further ado, allow myself to introduce...myself.
My name is Justin, and my wife (Adel) and I are soon-to-be Doberman owners!! We live in North-Central Florida. I grew up in a household with Rhodesian Ridgebacks and my wife grew up with Rottweilers.
After many, many, many months of research, breeder communication, and house visits...it's *finally* happening!
We're getting a male puppy from the most recent litter that was co-bred by Carol Petruzzo / Mary Ann Zuckerman / Eric Glofka / John Dolan.
The Sire is MBIS.MBISS.AM.GCH Tiburon Arsenal "Gunner" (owned by John Dolan) and the Dam is WAC CGC Carosel Just Like A Woman "Lucia" (owned by Eric Glofka). I believe my puppy has "extended family" on DT. MBIS MBISS GCH Tiburon Ariel Bella Dona, I believe. Maybe even more? How cool is that?!
To say that we're excited would be the understatement of a lifetime!
Thank you for the wealth of knowledge you've curated here. I honestly don't know what I'd have done without this incredible resource. Seriously, thank you!
I look forward to speaking with you more in the days, months and years ahead. I'll update this post with pictures once our puppy is home. SO EXCITED!!!
Also, my wife and I will be meeting up with Carol and Eric at the Pasco Florida Kennel Club
this Saturday, January 14th, in case anyone else will be in the area. We'll be the couple that's "oohing and ahhing" over all the beautiful Dobies!!
