Hello from balmy Sneads, Florida. I had a Doberman back in the 80s and I've just gotten another puppy. I'll post some pics of the puppy soon. Here is my first dog.<p>  <p>  <p>  <p>  <p>
I had a string of pit bulls since this dog and I had forgotten how people centered Dobies are. Completely different personality than the bulldogs. All my bulldogs wanted to do was sleep and eat. I cannot move an inch without my Dobie being right under foot. He seems to think he is actually human, hopping up into chairs and such. |

How true about the different personalities! My current (and first) Dobe was bought after my APBT sadly crossed the bridge. Storm was the best dog ever so I thought if we could do so good with a Pit a Dobe would be a piece of cake. I was so wrong. Chi is 10x's the work than Storm ever was - way more energy and attached to me. Though she's a completely different dog, she has done amazingly well at coming close to filling Storm's paw prints...

| I'm new too!
Greetings from Pittsburgh! My husband and I brought our very first Dobergirl into our home in January...our house hasn't been the same since, and that's just the way we like it! :-)
Tess has already taught us so much about ourselves as "parents". She has her moments of difficulty/challenge/stubbornness/craziness/you name it (just like every pup does) but she continues to be a HUGE source of pride and joy for us. She's been in obedience classes since she was 10 weeks old, already has her CGC and TDI, and we're now trying our paws at agility.
I'm looking forward to chatting with you about our pup and learning from everyone in the forums! | |
