| Newbie from midwest Hi all,
Our family has loved the doberman since we became a family. We have had two dobes. The first, Baby, was just that our baby. We really enjoyed her. She was a large black dobe. But her capacity to love was even bigger. She wa gone much too soon. So, soon we had another dobe, Cinder. She was another black dobe. We have shared our lives with her for the last 8 years. They have been wonderful years. Sadly, on July 4th of this year she succumbed to dilated cardiomyopathy. Our lives are empty, again.
We are currently looking for a new breeder to purchase two puppies. Our kids are missing Cinder so much that they have all agreed to the new puppies being their only Christmas this year.
I found this site while using Google to look at dobe pictures. I belong to two other forums but had never thought to look into a Doberman forum. This is great!!!!
I look forward to getting to know you all.
Nikki (Cinder and Baby's mom) |

| Sorry for your loss. It is never easy to lose a best friend.
Welcome to DT, you have come to the right place. Two puppies, you must be a glutton for punishment. Good luck in your search. We would love to see pictures of Cinder and Baby as well as the new addition when you get them.

| I know of one puppy available right now. I don't know of anyone who would sell you two at once. Its really best to let one get a little older before bringing in another. Puppies the same age that run together will usually bond to each other and not their people. Also alot of times one puppy will become dominant and one submisive which isn't good for either puppy. The puppy I know of is in Missouri not to far from Kansas City. I also know of puppies in Wichita KS that are available now. The one in MO is younger than the ones in Wichita. If interested I can give you contact info.
Very sorry about your loss. Alot of us have been thru loosing our babies in the last few months. Its a very difficult time. |

| As Jana said, responsible breeders won't sell you two puppies at one time.

| Welcome Nikki, from San Diego. We also lost one of our dear Dobes, in April, to DCM... it was so sudden, and such a shock. You will certainly find a lot of support, and a lot of very good and interesting (if sometimes opposing!) information on here... it's a really valuable place! Lois |

| Welcome from North Carolina! I'm so sorry for your recent loss. It is great that you have opened your heart up to another Doberman. You can't get a better recommendation for a puppy than from JDD! Good luck and keep up posted.

| Hi and welcome from the UK !! i would go with JDD recomendation... boy does she know dobes.. the puppy will be great.. i would also give it at least a few months minimum gap between puppys.. makes training etc so much easier !!
let us all know what you decide to do !!
