Hey there!

I have been born and raised with this magnificent breed my entire life. From my earliest memories I can recall a doberman in the house as well of stories of the great dobermans before my time. My mother bred, raised, and showed dobermans from the time she was 26. She met my father when she sold him one of her puppies! They have always been in our lives.

We lost our last doberman, who was a rescue, when she turned 13 in 2006. She had cancer and though her mind was still "with it" her body was giving out on her. I went two, painful years without a doberman and I hope to never do it again. It all changed when I joined a doberman community on my blogsite (I recognize some names here!!!) so that I could gaze at all the beautiful pictures. Well, it didn't take long to remind myself of how much I missed the breed.

I got Logan (now 10 months old) at the end of October 2007. Life with him has been nothing but fun and enjoyment. We go everywhere together and my off-time is usually spent teaching him new tricks and nailing the "basics" down. I hope to do Obedience and Rally Obedience with him when he is ready. He is 2 months shy of his first birthday and it's hard to imagine that time has flown by so fast! I still run into baby pictures and marvel at how young he looked.

At the end of June we found a litter that would be ready to go soon and the breeder (who knew us from Logan) promised to save us a female puppy. She knew how badly my mom wanted another girl and like moths to flames we went to "look". We all know how that goes because less than an hour later we were driving home a new baby girl. It took us a while, but we finally named her Kimber.

I'm very excited to have such wonderful dogs in my life. I had stumbled across this forum in the past but was always too shy to join. As soon as I find my camera cord (I stashed it where dogs couldn't find it and wound up hiding it from myself) I will post some pictures of my doberchildren.

I can't wait to meet all of you!
