Hi everyone,

my name is Jackie and although I don't currently own a doberman, I'd love to have one in the future, so I'm doing as much research as I can as a college student to get a good look at what breeds of dogs would be right for me, and I just fell in love with the Doberman Pinscher!

Some stuff about me:
I'm 19, majoring in Animal Science at Iowa State University. Love animals and currently own one cat, Toby, who's 15. I used to have a 29 gallon fishtank with lots of angelfish, a betta, and others and a Jenday Conure (parrot) but had to give them away as I went to college. :[

I love the Doberman breed and would love to own a black/rust girl or boy in a few years, as well as an Alaskan Malamute, a Newfoundland, a Samoyed, and a ragdoll cat or two. I love doing research and planning so I'm starting very early to learn as much as I can about Dobermans and other breeds I love.

Hello jeitzen, Welcome to DT!!! Wow your choices in breeds are very interesting! 3 coated breeds and one short haired but all working dogs. Keep up the research as every breed is so different in looks and temperment.

Wow that's going to be a big family one day! I am also in love with new foundlands but after seeing how much hair my dobie and lab x can produce, i think i will probably just admire them from a far for the time being!

Good for you doing your research, each breed is so different and so it's important to make sure they are the right dog for you and your lifestyle.
