I would search petfinder.com if you are interested in adopting a Doberman. You can also check out the DPCA: dpca.org

Please stay away from pet stores as the dogs/animals they sell come from puppy mills/brokers. Some pet stores have adoption days with reputable rescues.

Stop and rethink the pet store. The puppies there have breeders that care so little about them that they have no idea where they go or who buys them.

Try Petfinder.com

You can search by breed and within a certain number of miles in your zip code.

No dog is at fault for being born into this world.

Just a heads up - if you are looking for a doberman for free because you can't afford to pay very much, do a search on the possible vet costs first.

It would be awesome if you could rescue or adopt, but not if you had to give up the dog later because you couldn't afford medical costs.

I would look into Southwest Doberman Rescue Southwest Doberman Rescue Home
or The Illinois Doberman Rescue Illinois Doberman Rescue | Doberman Adoption | Rescue Assistance

both are great organizations.
