Hello!
I just read your post and saw your photos of your red dobe with the skin issues. Ours looks identical to yours. He's had all the tests and was on long-term antibiotics and now we bathe him with Pro Hex Clorhexidrine shampoo once a week. He's better when on the anti-biotics, but once off, the bumps come back. We also feed him Acana and I put the Alaskan Salmon Oil in his food. We've come to the conclusion that it's follicular dermatitis and that it may be due to stress. We rescued him at 8 mos. (he's now 15 1/2 mos.) and he came with separation anxiety. We've been working on it but due to our work schedules, he's in his crate in the house 3 days a week for 4 hours at a time.
You mentioned that with yours it was due to stress. What do you do? Avoid stressful situations or have you tried any training to deal with the stress? Can you please give me any tips/suggestions for this or anything else I should try for his bumps?
Thanks soooo much!!
