I used to throw chunks of food at Kip during his down stays--he didn't even turn his head to watch the food go by because he knew he wasn't allowed to grab it--I had to pick it up and give to him.
Once I threw a slice of luncheon meat at him during a sit stay (I actually wanted him to catch it and eat it; I forgot he was on a sit stay) and it landed across the top of his head and covered his eyes. He just sat there. I think I apologized to him for five minutes--AND gave him a couple of extra slices in addition.
Connor is one of my main "proofers". He likes to tease the dogs as I'm training them. He's been known to rub up against Ilka, and tickle her nose with his fluffy tail. And I made her hold her stays through that. Trouble and See-See also help out, but won't get as close.
