| I think with all of the stuff you've showed us, you've done a very good job, and I'm sure that whatever else you pursue, you'll do fine in. I don't think it's just Red that has the drive, you have it, too! |

| I missed this post!
Congrats Red & Burns!!! What a big accomplishment for doing all of the training yourself Burns - that's awesome. And kudos to Red for being such a sweetie, a quick learner, and a very well behaved boy!
(oh, and loved the "Red -1, little dog - 0"...hilarious!) |

| | Alpha | I missed this post too. Congrats Burns! Hey, Rally is soooo much fun, but not as easy as people might think. I'm just finishing up a novice class, and I'm hooked. I love that you can interact with the dog. I feel like you do that I'm the one holding my smart Dobe back, but we're learning, and that's the important thing!

| Yay Redders! Congrats you guys, knew you could do it! Red is such a gooood boy. I'm pretty sure getting an enormous goodie at the end helped to ease the disappointment over not getting to play-smack that lhasa.

| | Alpha | Big congratulations Burns and Red....you definitely need to keep dong stuff with this guy. Try Rally--it's not a formal as regular Obedience--not quite as demanding--you can talk to the dog continuously if you want to and it makes a really nice transition between the CGC and the much more formal Obedience.
Heck you know if the blonde Toad can do Rally that Red surely can. Novice is pretty straightforward and you can print out the ring signs from the AKC Rally site and do makeshift markers (we use quart yogurt containers for for the cones that real Rally rings use. Right now we are working Toad through Advanced stuff--some days he's brilliant and some days he's very blonde--but it is always entertaining. |

I'll have to pick your brain sometime I like the idea of being able to interact with the dog too. I want to keep it fun And yeah, I'm definitely learning - albeit at a much slower rate than Red, lol Quote:

Just between us, I wanted to smack the little dog too Trying to sabotage Red on the hardest part of the test! We showed him, lol Quote:

The instructor for the intermediate obedience class we're starting this week does Rally so she's going to help Red and I a lot too. Since I've done all his training myself so far, I'm in great need of some professional advice and constructive criticism. I know Red is more than capable of doing, it's me who needs all the direction! |
