going straight to the door and waiting for me with just an "in" command in a few weeks.....

God I love how smart and easily dobies pick things up.....

I still don't trust him outside by himself..(probably won't either.... he's VERY protective of his territory......I think he would go outside of the fence if he thought there was a threat....... or to just go and play with the neighbor kids....LOL)


The "in" command probably took a total of a week for him to really get it... Now no matter where he is in the yard or what he's doing...just say "in" and he's at the backdoor before we are.....


I'm still awed by just how smart this breed is every single day.

I agree very intelligent breed...Leroy and I can be in my office and i say "go downstairs" and he takes off and runs downstairs...they catch on very quickly!

Congrats Capt. It amazes me how quickly they catch on and how often they test the waters to see if come really means come or any other compand for that matter. I love the fact they keep me on my toes.
