| training question(s) While Sage may never get to an obedience trail I like to have a goal to work toward (a picture of what it should look like in my head). I have been on youtube looking at the different videos of both Sch. and AKC obedience and while the AKC is where (if ever) Sage would be, I like the way the Sch. obedience looks, very sharp, the dogs look like they are enjoying what they are doing, and commands are obeyed quickly. Maybe it is just the videos that I am finding but the dogs don't look like they know what they are being asked to do, and look kind of bummed out about being there.
Question 1: While there is no time limit in AKC events (to my knowledge) is the speed at which the dog responds a factor in the score?
Question 2: Is there a differance in the way that the 2 forms are trained?
Question 3: In every AKC video that I see the dogs are looking at the floor or looking around, am I wrong in thinking that the dog should be looking at the handler at all times?
Thanks
