well I got Bo away from wanting to jump the fence

At least when I am outside with him anyway....LOL

I just put him in his harness, and leashed him for a few weeks.... we would walk around the yard COUNTLESS time..... and I would take him by the fence purposely... more than a few time he gathered himself like he was going to jump and I gave him some leash pops and would really scold him with fvery firm no's...

the last couple of days I was out with him and he was back to having no interest at all in jumping the fence.... Now I am sure that if I wasn't out there with him he would be up and over without hesitation.... but as long as I am with him he seems to have learned the new rule very well....

I am going to work with him like this for the next week and then my neighbor is going to help me with distraction training outside of the fence to make sure he gets it....

Well she is a dog lover as well and had to put down her beloved GSD about a year ago, so she is probably Bo's biggest fan.... In fact she is talking about getting a dobie for her next dog because she has been so impressed by Bo and friendly ways..(to people he knows I trust..)

Hopefully he's gotten the message.. Bo has actually been pretty easy to train and hasn't had too many extremely bad habits (And I credit this board with helping me with that by NOT letting things become issues and giving some awesome advice) He was pretty much housebroken in a couple of weeks.

it was a standard 4 foot chain link fence.....LOL and he didn't try, he cleared the thing like Carl Lewis on steriods running from somebody.....

He never even touched the fence just straight up and over, standing still and just hopped right over it.

I was very impressed to say the least, BUT we just can't have that... LOL

Maybe when he is a little older and in agility like I want to do then he jump to his hearts content..
