Good Training Book

There are a lot of commands I'd like to attempt to teach Rusty on my own but have no clue 'how' to or where to start. Is there a good Doberman specific training book out there? If I have instructions I should be able to teach Rusty more commands. He only has sit, stay, down and shake as I don't know how to teach others. Thanks.

Someone on here suggested Diane Bauman's "Beyond Basic Dog Training". I bought it, read it cover to cover, and really enjoyed it. It was a great balance of positive reinforcement techniques combined with practical advice. It also had the information I needed to begin considering competitive obedience. I give it two thumbs up! I also picked up Karen Pryor's "Don't Shoot the Dog" which was more behavior theory, and "Getting Started with Clicker Training" which is what I gave to my husband to read up on.

Check out 'Dog for Dummies' from the library - they have a 'dog tricks' section at the very back of the book.
