| My nose broken...again... Sampson head butted me in play and I heard my nose crack. No blood but my nose has been broken 3 times (only one was a violent crime, the other 2 were my son hitting me with a toy when he was 2, and a ride at Cedar Point) so this makes number 4...Dammit dogs. It looks a little out of place and hurts like hell. I guess I will wait for number 5 and hope it puts it back in place... |

| Elka hasn't broken anything yet, but she whipped me across the cheekbone with her muzzle about two weeks ago (watching a fly buzz in the room) and almost knocked me out. Somehow, it barely bruised. |

| Welcome to life with Dobermans.
I've had my front teeth knocked loose, broken finger, chin split open, been hit so hard on an exuberant recall I landed flat on my back knocking all my breath out of me...
BF had his nose broke after spending less than a week around his first Doberman puppy; he was giving her kisses and she flung her head back - POP. About a week later the same pup let go of a toy which hit him square in the face, again.
Most people don't understand what's meant by "Dobermans are not body conscious" until they're injured by an exuberant, happy, and playful Dobe.

| Sorry to hear! I had a purplish bruise right above my top lip. It was in the most awkward spot. Jasmine got me during play coming up for kisses. When the bruise appeared the next day, it looked like I was abused or something. Explaining it was from my doberman went over well lol |

| SO was wrasslin' on the floor with our first pup and somehow got his ear stuck between the puppy's teeth It tore a bit of a flap off and he ended up in the emergency room 'cause he couldn't get it to stop bleeding.
He ended up leaving with a butterfly bandage or two, and quite the sore ear for a bit. Funny thing was, he saw a friend at work also sporting a bandage on his ear just a day or two later.
When he told the friend he bet he had a new puppy, the friend was amazed at his seer-like ability.

| | Agility Addict | I thought I was immune to dog injuries, as a non-dobe owner, but my silly little terriorist gave me a black eye and big nose lump by.slamming her nose, tug and teeth into my eye socket....

| I was having fun teaching D to go up and down the stairs....I got a doberpaw punch in the eye. Hubby said "just blame the black eye on me".... It hurt like crazy, but no bruise. I can't imagine having my nose broke. Makes my eyes water just thinking about it. |

| OUCH!
Dobermans should come with health warnings.
Not that they are dangerous, but that they play....... meaningfully.
Hugs to you, hope you feel better soon |

| Oh boy that sucks! Hope it heals and you feel better.
Sometimes i go in to work with bruises ..people must think my husband beats me. LOL Logan head buts and whips his head so hard and his head is soooo big he always hits me right in the temples all the time. I am waiting for the day he actually knocks me out with a concussion. Its probably coming soon because hes getting bigger and bigger if thats possible at 1.5 yrs and more and more used to wrestling and playing with us since we got him 4 months ago. He has also come close to knocking my teeth out. But i try to be careful. My last Dob was not like this. she was so gentle. He is a rambunctious boy with a ton of energy and when he isnt trying to smother you by sitting on you, he wants to try and KO you. |

| Yeah. I got a headbutt to the nose a year ago from Lexi. Have been careful around her noggin since then.
She sure does like to bonk her skull off things.
