| Downton Abbey - anyone else watching? I love this series! The 3rd season is shaping up to be just as good as the other two. For anyone who hasn't seen it, its on PBS Sunday nights at 9pm Downton Abbey | Masterpiece | PBS
Poor Edith, dumped at the alter by grandpa.
Will Bates will ever get out of prison?
I think Carson and Mrs. Hughes have a thing for each other...
I kinda think its funny that Thomas has turned on O'Brien. I never liked either one of them. Maybe they will kill each other off

| YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so bad, I have actually seen the entire 3rd season. I won't spoil anything for you, but it is as delicious as the first two. I just love it so much - the stunning scenery, the beautiful costumes, the rich characters - it's so satisfying to watch! Like eating a chocolate souffle! |

| GAH I'm so jealous, Hilary! I was going to buy the 3rd season on DVD with PBS's promotion, but I just couldn't make myself spend $120 on it.
Are you rewatching it on TV every week?
I don't know what I'm going to do with The Walking Dead comes back on next month... they are on the same day at the same time! Damn it!!!

| Rewatching every episode as it airs live on PBS. Once the series ends I will buy the entire set and watch endlessly, I'm sure. Just as I've done with the BBC mini series Pride and Prejudice!
I heard they are working on a prequel to Downton, focused on the courtship of Robert and Cora, once Downton ends! Maybe more Shirley Maclaine??? |

| I love it!! I didn't hear about it until the second season was airing here, but I managed to get the first 2 seasons on DVD from the library, and was caught up before this season started.
I was upset I missed the first 25 minutes on Sunday, I didn't know it started at 7pm our time. But I loved that the premier was so long, it kept me very entertained and happy while I sewed my dog coats and collars!!
I love Maggie Smith. She does such a wonderful job playing the dowager. And poor Edith, that stupid old jerk needed a good beating for what he did to her. |

| It's so cool--based on the memoirs of a midwife in the slums of East End London in the 50s. Call the Midwife : PBS
The things they saw, dealt with, the way they became part of the community, and many of those families' only lifeline.
VERY well done show.

| I have this in my list on Netflix but haven't sat down and watched it yet, nursing school prevails.
The DH and I did just finish watching the first season of American Horror Story. That was delightfully creepy and I love Connie Britton.

| Yes! Hubby and I started watching American Horror Story after the mid-season finale of The Walking Dead was over, and we really liked it too. It was after the 2nd season aired on TV though so we're waiting til its on netflix.

| oh oh - who has seen the season finale a few weeks back?? SPOILER ALERT!!! Don't read ahead if you haven't watched the entire season!
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
I was very sad when they killed off Sibyl, but it seemed legitimate given that pre-eclampsia and eclampsia is a very real and serious pregnancy complication.
But THEN they had to go off and kill Matthew too?? I was literally like, "NOOOOOOoooooo!!" at the end of the last episode! I was almost going to swear off the series entirely, but that was just shitty imo - but then I read an article about why they had to do it.
Both actors who play Sibyl and Matthew wanted off the show to pursue other ventures and did not renew their contracts for the next season, so they HAD to kill off their characters. So that makes me feel a little better at least.
I've read that the next season is going to start 6 months in the future from the time of Matthew's death, so the baby will be 6 months old and we won't have to sit through funerals and all that sort of thing, which will be nice.
oh and I thought this link was cool: What the cast members really look like http://tv.yahoo.com/photos/downton-a...ike-slideshow/

| I didn't know anything about that situation with the actors, but I totally saw that coming, with Matthew.
There was something about the lighting...almost dream-sequence-y...and just too daggone much euphoria, and the music, and the open road, and I just KNEW that was coming.
I actually thought it was pretty ballsy of the writers and am a bit disappointed to hear it was a real life necessity, hehe. I was all "Wow, that sucks but at least Brits don't make everything so Hollywood sappy, blah, blah, blah."

| Lol well sorry to ruin it for you!
I knew something was going to happen in that scene too... Driving along all happy and not watching the road... I actually remember thinking, "Watch the road, dummy!" but then it happened. In that moment, I could've choked Julian Fellowes!

| Loved Season 3 of Downton, but agree with yelling "Noooooo" when they killed Matthew off. Thanks for the link which shows the pictures of the actors involved, Burns.
I was a season behind on The Walking Dead, so did a marathon taping session and watched hours of it before this season started. I am curious why mammals did not get the zombie virus as well? Too hard to incorporate raging cows, dogs, cats etc I suppose. I really like this show but wish the plot would move along a little faster right now. |

I wish Rick would've just killed the Governor in the barn and been done with it. Everyone else seemed like they'd get along ok.
