| You look fantastic, Tab! Hope you are feeling well, too. My coworker is almost 12 weeks along with triplets, so I'm hearing lots of stuff about babies
I love Celtic names. Can't wait to hear what you pick.

Sorry but I couldnt let the reference pass without comment.
Regards Irish names, how Irish do you want to go.
I found a site on the internet that has a list of Irish names, both Gaelic and English versions, along with the names meanings and what is really great is there is a means of hearing how the names sound when spoken.

| A kid named Corbin might wind up being called "corby", though. A corby is a crow. There is a rather gruesome song called "Twa Corbies" (Two Crows).

| I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the name Liam! FWIW though, there are 3 Liams in my daughter's elementary school, so I fear it is gaining in popularity. I always said if I had a boy I'd name him Willem (like the actor Willem Dafoe), but alas it was 2 girls for me. And middle name would have been James, too, after my father!
I am drawn to unusual - but not weird - names. My oldest daughter's name is Welch "Anwen" (pronounced on-when). My youngest is Marin, not unusual but loved the lilt of it.
Congratulations - you look stunning by the way! |

The Red Hand can be regarded as one of the very few cross-community symbols used in Northern Ireland. Due to its roots as a Gaelic Irish symbol, nationalist/republican groups have used (and continue to use) it.
Due to its recent usage by loyalist paramilitaries, those unfamiliar with Irish history have believed it to be a solely loyalist symbol.
A little research will show you that this is not the case.
However, not wishing to hijack this lovely lady's thread I will refrain from getting involved any further regards this contentious issue. |

No suggestion on names that haven't been mentioned already.
I do like Declan and Liam. Please for the love of everyone don't go with Aiden. Nice name but every other baby I know in the past 4 years is named a variation of it. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App |

| Isn't it funny how names seem to go round and round.
Lately, old names such as Harry, William, Alfie etc have been coming back into popularity, though some of the names the Hollywood stars are giving their children frighten the heck out of me. |

| I haven't read if it has been suggested or not, but I've always loved the name Caleb. It means dog/heart.. which can be translated to loyal and faithful. Its one I have always considered if I ever had a boy Congrats lady! Really awesome!

| Wow! I go to work for a few hours and come back to all these very nice posts and name suggestions! You guys rock
I'm on my phone at the moment, but when I get back on my computer, I'm going to add to my list of potentials. There's so many good ones
And thanks for the nice comments about my photo, I had a freak out moment last week when I realized most women have only gained a few pounds by this time in their pregnancy, and I've packed on like 15 lbs... But now I'm starting to actually look and feel more pregnant rather than just feeling like a fat ass lol

| Speaking of having to take care choosing a child's name, based on possible nicknames and teasing--who all remembers the SNL skit with Nicholas Cage and Julia Sweeney, who were trying to choose a boy's name?
Freakin' NBC Universal has it blocked on youtube. Would love to see that one again.
Edit to add-not near as much fun, in transcript form, but here 'tis anyway: http://snltranscripts.jt.org/92/92ababynames.phtml

I've looked at some traditional names, and I couldn't think of how to even pronounce most of them. I'd like something people have heard before (and therefore won't have teachers butcher it for role call) but not something too common or boring.
It's so much harder than I thought! Especially for boys. There are so many pretty girl names, it would be easy. But with boys, you need to make sure it's not too feminine or off the wall for them. You know boys and their egos lol

| One bit of advice after naming my little girl. Every person has a thought on every name, good or bad. You can't please everyone. Almost every name can be mocked, made fun of or rhymes with something mean. We narrowed it down to two first names and a middle name and waited to meet her. I think she was about twelve hours old before we decided in Caroline Jean. Sent from my iPhone using Petguide.com Free App

Which is why I don't plan on telling anyone what we actually choose until after he is born. That why I don't have to hear people opinions leading up to it.

| My nephew is Joseph Stewart and my son is Richard Cameron....the first names were family names but they go by their middle names. I love William Wallace (Wallace was my dad's name and now my cherished dog!) We had a couple of versions for my son, and then picked the final name after he was born. I agree to keep the name a secret, as family members will bug the heck out of you about names!
You look great! I am really tall and gained 25 lbs with first baby and 30 with the 2nd. I don't know how tiny women fit that baby in there, as I have a lot of room under my rib cage and still felt like a whale!

They say I could gain up to 35 lbs because I was slightly underweight to begin with, but I hope I don't go up that high. Now that I'm not sick anymore and I'm more adjusted to my appetite, I've been able to hold back a bit more.

| My mom hated my son's middle name. We didn't care. He's named John Wolfgang, after his paternal grandfather, and one of the greatest composers to ever live.
