| Your highlights of 2012? So, looking back over the year, what have been your most memorable and favourite moments?
This has been quite an eventful year for me with a lot of changes. Going to the Olympics in my own country was incredible. All the success with Rupert in the showring. Ive done a fair bit of traveling this year, but my safari in Kenya was probably the highlight (I desperately want to go back!)
So please do share, there are too many miserable comments on FB at the moment! Let's focus on the positives, not the negatives. |

| Although I didn't realise it at the time...the most significant day in 2012 for me was the day Basil arrived on my doorstep. ...and every training day with him has been a highlight since. (especially when he nails a movement with full focus and elan.)

Happy 2013 to everyone.

| 2012 was a pretty good year for me. Although it started off by being laid off, I started a new job that I love, which allows me more time to spend with my dogs. We took in 8 fosters and found them all (except the current one) loving forever homes. I also organized and ran my first fundraiser and started helping temperament test dogs for rescue. Rowan earned his UKC Ch. in one weekend of showing our first try out, and recently passed the TDI eval. We went to Breckenridge, CO for a snowboarding trip in Feb, Galena a few times (and even went on a hot air balloon ride) and Mexico in Dec for a wedding. In march I got a new car and in Sept we got engaged!
ETA: And somewhere in there I ran my first 5k!
I'd say it was a pretty eventful and fulfilling year. Here's to hoping 2013 is just as great, or better! Happy New Year everyone!

| 2012 was a very big year! I got married, moved to a new town to continue medical school and we brought our little girl Brinks home! It was mostly a great year. The only really bad thing that happened was we had to put my 14 year old chocolate lab down the week before our wedding. Brinks helped heal my heart after losing my girl Hershey, who I got at the age of 13, when Hershey was 3 years old. I am so excited to see what 2013 has in store for our little family!
Brinks the day after we brought her home...
and now!
My beautiful, perfect Hershey just a few days before we let her go. |

| I made a resolution last year to take better care of my health. I lost weight, controlled by blood pressure, worked out, and set a goal to be near the same physical shape I was in when I was 21, by the time im 40. I just turned 39. I will continue this for the next 11 months toward my goal. Several of my co-workers are going to participate in a Tough Mudder in the fall. I may even decide to register and compete.
We got Rams in March of this year. Our daily lives now revolve around his training, happiness, and needs. This was a big change -nothing like adopting a two year old. We might as well adopted a human toddler for all the attention, needs, training...
Happy Near Year Everyone! |

| I'm too sick right now to really come up with a "list", but I'd say getting Ilka's RA and RE were a couple of highlights. Also, getting Leontine.

| 2012 is when I finally started taking pictures that looked like thought was put into them.
Also, Ruthie was added to the "family" in April, I think, and later this year she got her CGC. Last, my brother and his family moved to TX (from NYC) in August.
Everything else was business as usual but I have no complaints. No news is better than good news.

| So glad 2012 is over soon because there has been so many struggles this past year, but as far as the positives:
-I am alive and well
-Rogue & Prime became certified therapy dogs
-Started school again after 6 years and am doing well
-I had an incredible vacation in Miami and reconnected with family I haven't been close with in ages
-Seeing my brother who flew home from Nashville for the holidays
-Boyfriend and I are going strong |

| Highlights 2012
Sold our house after only 6 weeks on the market.
Saw the hubby in many interesting cities this year.(San Francisco, San Diego,Seattle, Atlanta ...)
Flowers at my office from my husband once a month.
Hopes for 2013
A new permanent place to live (in Texas rather than Wisconsin).
Seeing the husband more than 1x a month maybe even living together again!
Employment in the same city as the husband or the ability to work from home in the same city!
Living apart for a year hasn't been all bad but it's getting old. |

So, while it's only a vaguely optimistic outlook, it is not totally pessimistic.
