| You really cannot go wrong with the Cirque du Soleil shows. Mystere (spl?) is fantastic and I've heard amazing reviews about O. I will say, comparatively to the other Cirque shows that I've seen, Ka was not as amazing as the rest.

| I second the Cirque shows. My in-laws saw Love and said it was great. I have heard the other ones are good too (O and Mystere in particular I think).
As for restaurants, it depend on what you have a taste for! The Carnival buffet at the Rio is HUGE, and good. The Grand Luz Cafe in the Venetian is a favorite of mine, similar to Cheesecake Factory, but better. Gordon Ramsey has a steak house in Paris that is good, and has new places opening in Planet Hollywood and Caesars I think.
Off Strip, we like Hash House A Go Go, and don't forget In-N-Out for fast food. They have the best food, and everything is fresh, never frozen. Family always wants to eat there, since it's a west coast place.
Feel free to PM me if you have any questions! |

| I've never eaten there. (but I can recommend the view, and the view from the top of the tower, lol.)
My DH is a chef in a casino on the Strip, I can ask him. |

| Oh Vegas, how I love thee
As for buffets, Spice Market in Planet Hollywood, and Wicked Spoon at Cosmopolitan is good. I'd skip out on The Buffet at Wynn, it used to be good, now it's just overrated and super expensive.
Hash House A Go Go, already mentioned, is awesome! There is a location in Imperial Palace if you don't have a car to go off strip. Go hungry or share plates because the portions are massive. Strip Burger located in Fashionshow Mall is good as well if you love burgers. There's an Earl of Sandwich open 24 hours I believe at Planet Hollywood, they have awesome sandwiches!! Grand Lux Cafe at Venetian, also mentioned, is good casual food as well.
For a little higher end, Olives at Bellagio is good. Try their beef carpaccio, it is the best hands down anywhere! Steakwise, Delmonico's at the Venetian has awesome ribeye steak, can't vouch for anything else, or CUT at Palazzo. There's a chinese restaurant at the MGM I believe, that was also pretty good but I can't remember the name.
If you do have a car, of course stop by In-N-Out on the way into the strip... Only available in the state of California and Las Vegas is an exception. Noms!
As you can see.. I go to Vegas to eat..... |

| Beatles Cirque (if they are still on), Jersery Boys, Human Nature, Lion King, Menopause, Blue Man Group. I haven't been out there for two years so not sure these are still playing. All the mentioned I would see again. Did see the "O' show and it was good, but not something I would pay to see again. Rita Rudner was a good show too. The buffets vary from year to year in my opinion. 2 yrs ago we thot Mandolay Bay had the best buffet. Year before, felt the MGM was the best. Flamingo use to have the best seafood buffet, but it wasn't that good the last time we ate there. Don't drink anything but bottled water. The lake is not just Vegas' water source for drinking but for other things too, if you get my drift. |

| Hash Hash a Go Go was amazing! Too much food but all wonderful - and very affordable, unlike most Vegas restaurants. Penn & Teller was really terrific. The Venetian has an fantastic pub called the Public House where the bartenders really know their beer and the food is quite good. Also good is Mon Ami Gabi at Paris - particularly for lunch as I love the Crocque Monsieur, but we had dinner this time and it was great. Enjoy. |

| I love Vegas!! But my last visit was ...when the Bellagio was under construction!
As for Sushi, I've never been there personally but the authentic sushi that Japanese recommend:
Nobu - Best quality and price
Sushi Roku - Looks popular because there is another one in Santa Monica.
Ichiban Sushi - Among these three, the most reasonable. Japanese sushi chef. You can take out.

I always trusted water supplies until I ate supper with a water engineer that monitors the ecoli levels in Lake Mead. |

You guys have way better water acts (laws) than we have in Canada so I wouldn't worry about it
Now fluoride on the other hand....
On topic: ABX American Burger Works in the Excalibur makes an awesome burger. I don't do much fine dining when I'm in Vegas

I'm so stoked, last year we stayed at the Venetian and this time we are trying out Paris. I'm packing and singing "leavin on a jet plane!". Gonna miss the dogs, but man we need a vacation. Cant wait to see what the Bellagio does with a Christmas themed garden and eat some awesome food and gamble like crazy and stay up late with no responsibilities. |

Holla! It's vacation time for you! | No, but my sis has. They love it. I've been to gamble, and they have an amazing indoor garden that they change with the seasons. It's beautiful. Id stay there in a heartbeat, just haven't yet.
I can't recommend the Venetian highly enough, we stayed in one of the nicer rooms with the sunken living area and Italian marble bath/dressing rooms and it was FABULOUS. VERY reasonably priced for what we got.
I would stay away from Aria and Wynn, super overpriced for what you get IMO.
I'm hoping Paris will be nice, I like to try out new places but some are winners and some are losers.
Edit: Caesars has gone WAY down hill, btw. Used to be amazing, it's depressing that it stinks now. I would not stay there again if they paid me.
