| Oh the DISGUSTING people we have to live among As Im sitting in my house a knock on the door turns out to be a detective going door to door asking of anyone was home or around this afternoon. (i live across the street from a church) Turns out around 1pm the pastor of the church was robbed by someone lesser of a human being, i dont know if he was assaulted or held at gun point but are you kidding me. The pastor is ok thankfully but doing something like that to a person who committs his time to better the community. It makes me furious, at least my mom wants to put camera up before the holidays. I know i dont live in the best of cities but my neighborhood is fairly quiet and mellow but something about the holiday season brings the stupid out in certain individuals and i fear for the saftey of my house and my pets. |

| I moved 10 years ago upstate- a little north of Poughkeepsie. I used to live in the Pelham Bay section just across the street from PBpark and I would walk to OLA/ P.S. 71. Where are you located?
So nice to see someone here who has a dobie where I used to live.

| Yup, takes all kinds. I work at the court house so get to see first hand all the wonderful people in our community. Some you feel sorry for, others you don't. Some do stuff so stupid you just have to laugh. Don't think we've had a priest robbed though. Really, talk about bad karma...

| And by the way that is TERRIBLE AND AWFUL! Who could do such a thing to someone who dedicates his time to greater things and helping steer away from exactly what happened. I'm happy he was alright.

| I've been hooked on that show, "I Survived..." since the first episode. I've seen some bad things in my day, but the stories shared on that show really put things in perspective. Humans are the only animals capable of the most despicable acts. What a shame.

| Yeah, humans can be pretty evil. Think about those trying to rebuilt their homes or businesses after Hurricane Sandy, only to be robbed of what's left of their personal belongings by looters.
But...I guess there is a ying and a yang to everything. You have those that are so selfish, then those so giving that walk into stores and pay for Christmas layaways annonymously.

| Well turns out today the pastor was held at gun point there was a lookout guy standing infront of my neighbors house. Very sickening to add insult to injury my boyfriend was walkimg Kratos earlier this afternoon and he saw two teenage guys walking suspiciously towards my elderly neighbor the took one look at my boyfriend and Kratos who had spotted them and walked back the way they cam quickly i have a hunch this holiday season theres going to be a lot up to no good. |

| I'm not a terribly religious person, but I personally think that robbery in and of itself is disgusting - regardless of how the person chooses to live their life. You are violating what I feel is a basic human right - the right to safety. Whether it's holding a person at gunpoint, or breaking into their home, you're violating society's trust.
