what if there are no forum members there to see that the light bulb needs changing?

does it need changing if no one knows it does?

hey disco....did you guys have a volcano eruption lately?

and if you didn't know....do you care?

oh ya..why are we all here on this planet?

I am going to keep my light bulb comments - just about environmentally Eco friendly light bulbs.
Even if all the new ones comtain Mercury, and have disposal problems, in our landfills...of pollutants entering the water resource table.
- Efficient lighting (aka "Training") replacing Old Technologies with New Technologies...lol...sounds good !!

How many forum members does it take to change a lightbulb?
^^^^ The answer is in the #1 best selling "light" book...now buy it and read first.

Watch out for those spiraly ones and make sure that you twist them from the base and not the glass, they break every time. And watch out for moving to old house where light bulb hasn't been changed in 20 years because only the base will be remaining in the socket. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents.

More lightbulbs (additions made by kerbal space program forum):

2 more to start an argument over whether Edison or Swan was the "real" inventor of the light bulb.

A third to claim that the debate is pointless, since Hiram Maxim clearly had the superior model to either of the other two.

A fourth to point out that Hiram Maxim invented the machine gun, thus making him an EVIL EVIL MAN BECAUSE HE'S KILLED SO MANY PPLZ.

A fifth to point out to the fourth that artillery fire has killed more people in battle than machine guns have in the modern world.

A sixth to point out the Maxim was awesome because he was an AMERICAN, and anyone who hates guns must also hate freedom.

A seventh to express disbelief at the inevitable derail of the topic into some sort of fervent misplaced nationalism and militarism.

An eighth to muse on the practicality of using exploding light bulbs as rocket propellant.

A ninth to post a video clip of a light bulb playing an extremely difficult song on a piano (which is a wonder, because light bulbs have no hands).

A tenth to claim that he is a light bulb.

One Moderator to move to Off-Topic

Ten to restart the flamewar.

Three to post different pictures of lightbulbs.

Five to shift the topic from who invented the bulb to the best brand.

Two dozen to participate in flamewar.

One person to post a GIF of an adorable kitten in an attempt to derail the discussion.

One person to get into a kitten gif war with the other person.

Two Moderators move topic back on topic.

One to yell at mods and get banned.

One Moderator to lock thread

Arguably it only took 1 forum user to screw in the light bulb, the rest are just trolling after the event.

FYI - the_discowhore.
- your THREAD is simply perfect & high IQ written ...and good timing, every 1/2 year...(LOL)
BUT NOTHING WRONG with watching a "GOOD B/ATCH" (CAT-Fight) among distant FRIENDS.

I am a purest and wish to discourage the use of light bulbs its a travesty to put it simple. We only acknowledge the use of candles and within our group we only just recently allowed oil lamps but only on porches. It breaks my heart to think of all those light bulbs with only weak or broken elements at our local landfills. support your local apiary!!

Guess I shouldn't have left this one out when I edited the list:

One who doesn't get what all this fuss is about, since he still browses his computer by candlelight.

Don't forget the 12 members that will spend another 10 pages debating the merits of German vs American light bulbs!

And how people ask about where they can find the cheapest light bulbs, the ones without warrantees that end up burning out quickly instead of spending the extra money to get a fluorescent one that not only lasts longer but saves on energy costs in the long term ; )
