Significant others thread.

My SO and I have been together for about 3 months now. He is my love, and everytime we are together, all of my cares in the world seem to float away. He is a 'working man', but deep down, he is a lover, not a fighter. He never takes his eyes off of me, and I have a hard time taking mine off of him as well. I was told that he was 'hard headed' and tended to "bite" people invading his personal space, but whoever thought that, obviously wasn't loved as much as I am. He made an exception to his rules just for me. He has the sweetest most endearing eyes that hide all of his flaws and shortcomings. Even when he's being a pain in the ***, he looks sweet doing it.

I would say I hope for many years to come, but sadly, I am not destined to be 'his'. I am a bit of a free spirit, as is he, and when my time with him is up, he will move on to a new reluctant woman looking for her own personal bodyguard.

And here are a couple pictures of him. We have a problem with him not being able to use or like the camera much, so only one picture of us together! Whenever I take out my camera, he tends to attack it. I love him anyways




We also take bath's together. He loves his baths, as long as you don't touch his butt, because apparently "He doesn't roll like that"

Met my husband in college we dated a year and he brought me to Florida and proposed. We've been married 35 years !! He is my best friend and has held me when we lost our baby. He has walked through hospital doors with my cancer treatments...........I've been cancer free for 17 years!! That's the test of a real man!! We've lost alot but have always held together our faith has played everything in our lives.............our female doberman is the love of our life!!

My wife and I went to the same highschool, in a small town.
Many teenagers hung out at the local poolhall on weekends (beside the theater).
One Saturday night, the hydro went out in the billiard room, so we all sat outside on the sidewalk, getting out of the dark room.
I found myself sitting beside a nice girl with a pretty smile and lovely long blonde straight hair, that tipped the top of her blue jeans.
I was hooked (he-he)...after 45 minutes, the lights had not returned, so I asked her out.
We drove around town in my 1966 Plymouth Valiant and ending up the evening with some burgers, at the local Frosty Queen.

We started seeing each other every weekend and daily at school, until I was hit by a car (doing 70 mph), just 2 days before XMass...I was 17 y/o.
In hospital intensive care...I was injured pretty bad, but she stood by my side, through this difficult time of recovery.

We got married 3 years later and our first dobe (Tanya) was purchased a week later...working together, we put each other through College.
After 35 years of marriage, life is still great & we got one lovely son, out of it all...and our best friend and our world.
Small family unit, but very tight...him and this Dad took up Sunday morning golf, a few months ago...we always have nothing but much fun together.
And Mom enjoys home cooking a feast of meals, for him many weekends & packs him a load of goodies, to take away.
We cherish each others friendship.

We've been together for nearly a decade now, and he's the only one that knows how to make me laugh when I'm angry, or laugh when I'm crying. Could not have asked for a better soul mate.

Ok I had too many pics to chose from but I decided to show you some pictures of when we got married 1.5 years ago The happiest day of my life , my Stepkids Jasmine and Adam Jr. are in them as well as my birth son Jacob, they all live with us since my husband has had full custody of them since they are 3 y/o and 6 months old respectively , so as you can see like all brothers and sisters fight but they also love eachother. Adam(husband) and I have been together for 5 years and hopefully forever .. And I added a pic of my doggies, that also fight like brothers and sisters but as you can see they also love eachother very very much.

This is Bob, my main squeeze! No, we have been together forever! He sent this to me last year when I was working in Vermont. He is sitting with Chloe and Huckleberry. We met while walking down the street in San Francisco. He is awesome! I will try to find a picture of us together.

This is Joe, the love of my life <3



We met randomly in November of 2010 and three weeks later he asked me out to dinner. At the time I was going through my divorce and knew that I wanted to be single for a while... but he never let me get on the market We celebrate our 2 year anniversary on new years and out of those 24 months, over 16 have been spent apart due to both of us being in the Air Force. He is currently deployed to Afghanistan and will return in January. I am so incredibly excited to finally see him after almost a year since we were married. We celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary on 27 Feb 2013.

my honey (C) and i have been together 7 years. we met when i was 21 and he was 32, and i was dating his coworker (Adam). Adam and i split up, and C kept asking Adam for my number. Adam refused. i knew nothing of this.

fast forward 4 years. i was engaged (to someone who would have been disastrous for me, Mike), was laid off the week after Thanksgiving, and had JUST moved into my very first apartment. i was desperate for a job. bugged the heck out of Adam to get me in with his department, as i had a skillset they needed. he secured me an interview, and i got the job. started working there in January of 2006. my fiance' and i started to dissolve - he was never home, i didn't need to rely on him anymore, yadda yadda. eventually, things ended. i opted to nurse my aching heart by flirting with that cute guy i remember meeting so many years ago. turns out C was leaving the department, so our ability to hang out at work was essentially nipped in the bud.

we went out for the first time on his last day of work...and, well, we never really stopped. 7 years later i'm living with him, we have a dog and two cats, and we're talking marriage. he's been an amazing partner, and i truly hope we keep this going for the rest of our lives.
