| I started dating my husband when we were in high school and shortly after we began dating he started growing a beard. We have been together for 9 years now and he has had a beard for all those years. I am not even sure what he would look like without it and I bet it would make him look too young. He usually keeps he short, but goes longer in the winter months.

| I love a beard, but, like mel, a short, trimmed beard. My husband harbors dreams of a long bushy beard someday, but I say no way.

| I actually laughed so hard I snorted a couple times. Number six still has me laughing. I'm definetly with number 1 or 2. They definetly are the epitome of beards. And as far as chicks not diggin them well.... Screw it. Have fun with it. I think you should go absolutely ridiculous with it and grow it like the Kung fu master from Kill Bill. And like Brandon said go beard or go home. Hahahahahahaha |

There are plenty of women who think beards are sexy so I'm sure he will find someone to hop into bed with in no time ;p the beard thing seemed to be all the rage in the music scene at one point and a lot of my friends were growing these epic beards. I just smh, lol. A friend of mine grew a beard for some charity, I wishi could remember the website, thought that was pretty neat. |

But since you're on relationship hiatus by all means- go for it.
And I'll stop before I say something awful, cuz unless it's a finely chiseled muzzle style, not into beards. Have fun. Dye it funky colors LOL | Yes that's me, and thank you.
Not sure if I will dye it, I don't see grey hairs, yet!

I was told if you have a longer face to not have a long beard.
Long beards apparantly look better with round faces.
Either way, I'll surely be trying different things with it.

| I'm not particularly a beard fan but i'm a pro choice kind of girl lol. Love the progress so far that i've seen on fb. Coming from having a bearded father my ENTIRE life...honestly if i saw his chin at this point i think it may give me a heart attack lol, my best advice is keep it trimmed and tidy, scruffy big beards are the worst!
I also sympathize/unedrstand the need to grow it...my dad has decided after 38 years he wants long hair again....and a full no shave november beard....i'm not sure how much longer I'll risk being in public with he man wolverine.
(this is from years! ago, but this was a no shave november kept nice and tidy at his average length, beard is about twice that and scruffy now and hair is down to his shoulders *sigh* ) Ignore the hair it was a windy long hunting day lol

Which reminds me I was going to post one here | So do i....depending on what state he has it in lol, it's the start of no shave November here for hunting and winter so he's a tad scruffy and wild right now...especially with the hair too.
He hasn't had a naked chin since...well he joined the army at 17, they made him stay naked faced for those 4 or so non active years and ever since then he grew it back and hasn't gotten rid of it! He just turned 53 last month. The only people who have seen that mans chin are some of his friends from childhood and his parents/sister lol...it can be scary to think what's under there some days
If you google the shirt it should be easy to find lol it's from the band static x's facebook page, he keeps his beard in one or two long braids!
ETA
i think 7 weeks looks great! a few more and it should fill in a bit nicer and that's were I personally think it looks best but again i'm more of a trim and tidy beard person....i think it makes you look more like a nice guy with a beard than a crazy hobo to put it bluntly. You could also do an old fav style of my dads and keep those thinner patches below your lips completely clean, like two little windows, he does that and shaves his cheeks in the summer. Oh I so wish I had more bear pictures now...i'll have to get a recent one to show you, it really is an everchanging thing

| I think your beard looks awesome as is, very attractive on you. I personally prefer when my hubby has some facial hair but he's a cop so has to be clean shaven, which I don't like.
And OMG, this is a beard thread and not one person has mentioned Duck Dynasty, seriously epic beards: Duck Dynasty - Episodes, Video & Schedule - aetv.com

I need to learn how to stop touching mine

| I switched it up a little.
The sides were getting far to annoying and it was making me feel dirty no matter how clean I kept it. Going to buy a hair straightener to iron out the curls etc.
It's a bit Egyptian looking right now!
