| Okay more arty things:
Pixeled it for a friend's birthday. She likes fawn pitties.
Hellhound project lined. Not sure if I want to digitally paint or if I want to pixel.
Aaaand a cute little thing I did in a lecture.

| Wow, didn't realize my hour-long whim would get so many compliments :] Thank you to those who've commented on it, in PM or here. If anyone wants something similar, I'd be willing to do a couple for free.
Rosemary, I HATE paint of all kinds, but acrylics are at least easier for me to understand. Barring pens, wet media hates me back.

| Just wow. You've got so many great pieces here!
I LOVE that maned rat(3rd image w/word Crisis in it) and that you did a lacewing. Very cool. Your dog drawings have an interesting sculptural quality that is very appealing.
Say if you're not friends w/painting if you've not tried watercolor pencils or gouache paint they are worth a try, also gutting metallic gel ink pens make a nice painting or accent medium.
Thanks for taking the time to share these. |

A for-fun project.
And some classwork. Greatest fear project. I don't like creepy things, especially if they *almost* could be human. Q734
It says "Identity(backwards) Crisis", it's a sketch for a previous typography assignment that didn't turn out so well as the finish, which is why the completed project isn't up here. Thank you for your compliments, and everyone else too You are the second person to tell me that one drawing or another has a sculpture-like quality- a professor of mine did as well. I see my drawings as me bringing something visible out of whatever I'm manipulating, much like a sculptor manipulates a block of clay or stone. I suppose I just use the same mindset and it shows occasionally
I have not tried watercolor pencils however with my next project I believe I may give them a shot, either that or try combining watercolor with penwork. Very interesting suggestion with gutting pens, I think I might experiment with that over the break.

| Note to self, fix lighting in apartment and get a better camera... or a bigger scanner.
Mixed media project, had to emulate a They Draw and Cook (go look it up!) presentation using traditional media and had to be at least 2 unrelated types of media included. I used watercolor pencil, opaque watercolors, acrylic, marker, and pen. Dog treat recipes The camera sadly doesn't do it justice as it messed with my colors and warped my lines a bit.
You know I'm working on a project when:
1- Everything art related is scattered on the floor except in the circle where I'm sitting.
2- The cat is lurking and may have paint or charcoal on her butt because she decided to sit on my project while I wasn't looking.

| Howdy all It's been a while but I wanted to show that I haven't quite been idle. Most of these are WIPs, bear with me.
Alphabet assignment for my Constructing Secondary Worlds class.
Map assignment for Constructing Secondary Worlds.
Creature assignment for CSW.
Villian WIP, CSW.
This and a goddess drawing that I can't show on here because she's nude are for my Religion assignment in CSW, WIPs.
I need to construct both a 3D artifact and later a piece of art created by someone in that world as two separate assignments. This is a WIP of the piece of art; it will be 3 oil paintings, two of two different snakes (viper/python) and one of the goddess associated with them. The artifact will be an idol to complete the "shrine" feel.
The ball python is finished, the gaboon viper is a WIP, and the goddess is still in the sketch phase. 3rd time ever with oils- I like these better than acrylics and watercolors but it's still paint.
WIP of a dragon for my Digital class. We're talking about different layer effects and methods of painting.
Aside from some other concept building for my CSW class, that's it for now!
EDIT: oh, before I get, here's the full image of that dragon from above so far:
As you can see I start out pretty loose and crappy and I refine as I go. Takes forever but you get a decent result Stuff like my signature takes about an hour. In comparison I've poured about 5 into this already.

| What on earth is Constructing Secondary Worlds? Because that totally looks like you're taking a "game world design" (or, similarly, "fantasy novel world") class to me. Which is awesome. Plus, as always, I really like your style |

| That's essentially what it is "Construct a sci-fi, fantasy, or otherwise fictional world and I'll help you make it believable" is pretty much the syllabus. It's actually really useful to me because my end goal is a job working for game or movie companies as a concept artist, so this is me getting my feet wet in the idea and I'm LOVING it. Sadly that means that it sucks up most of my time, haha.
This particular world I really want to construct an indie videogame out of, but I don't know how to program it so I'll have to enlist someone's help once I figure out what I'm doing. The other option is to write a novel which works as well- I used to write all the time and have a book published so it's not like I'm completely lost there.
