| Tattoo Thread :) (show them off) I got my tattoo fixed yesterday (Gawd I hate needles)
I just wanted so show it off
But whattaya think? I love it so much more... I am very please with this new guy
Before
AFTER:
I might need to get the original (reaper/scythe/grass) darkened to match, but we will see here in a couple of weeks...
Little description of what its supposed to mean:
Reaper (red) AKA War: Should be holding a Sword, but the original guy screwed that up (can't fix).... But the red horseman represents War...
White Wolf: Represents peace...
So this is my take on War and Peace!
Anyone else wanna show off your tattoo's
This is a concept one for my mom
Sorry I am not an artist

| It looks so much better! Love the touch up. This is my newest one I got in Florida this year.
My dad and I got tattoos together, he got popeye:
I know you're probably wondering "wtf?" lol...background story:
We used to take family road trips to Florida a lot when I was a kid and on the way there we would stop at boiled peanut stands. My dad introduced me to the awesomeness of those tasty little morsels and I've been hooked ever since. Well this time around we took a father/daughter trip and I suggested we get tattoos together, something Florida related so I was thinking about a flamingo and he was thinking about a shark or gator. Well our idea evolved into something that related to our trips but I still wanted an animal related to florida. I looked up Florida mammals and decided to go with the otter because they are so ridiculously cute, playful, and adorable..who could deny an otter? And what else would an otter be thinking about instead of a boiled peanut? |

| Nice tats all the way around. Would have loved to show mine off.....35 years ago....alas, at 60, they just aren't the same anymore....they're all headed south. If I'd actually believed I was ever going to get old, I would have put them in less "fleshy" places...ha!''

| Lol @ Phrannie's post! I'm sure they're not that bad dear.
I have a "no sag & stretch" policy for tattoo placement! My first tattoo is on my hip and taught me NOT to tattoo in areas that grow or shrink. Most of mine are on my lower legs and feet. I have one on a shoulder and one low on the back of my neck.

| The best photo of mine that I have:
It means "thus you shall go to the stars," in Latin. The color scheme/uneven stars were based on something my cousin (who passed away) drew on his arm - three stars, one for that cousin, his sister (who also passed) and my grandfather.
This was the image it was loosely based off of:
Justin Minyard was in a motorcycle accident (a truck clipped him, he ran into a tree and died instantly). His sister, Jessica, had a brain tumor and passed away before he did. And my grandfather died of lung cancer that metastasized.
Love my tattoo, wouldn't change it for anything.

| I've thought a little bit about getting "Celebrate we will..." very small on my rib cage, like under my bra where no one could see unless I was nude, but I am a little apprehensive.

| I've kinda thought about getting a tattoo but I don't have much that's truly important enough to me to get it permanently inked onto my body.. Except for my mom who would be VERY unamused if I got a tribute tattoo for her.. And my dogs. And I'm pretty sure my boyfriend would break up with me before I got a tattoo of my dogs!!! But I'll have to think about it.

If it could only be seen while you were nude, then you shouldn't be apprehensive- you shouldn't be nude in in front of anyone who would make you feel that way You would think they would get excited if they saw "Celebrate we will" and you were nude! All of the tattoos I have are for ME, I don't and never will regret any of them. I love tattoos and would have more if I had the $. And all of mine are in places that can't be seen unless I choose to show them. DO IT MEGS!! |

The balloons do kind of have a story, it will work better when I actually get them finished... but I didn't want to get something really serious, that's not what I am about When my tattoo is finished, there will be two people (representing my parents) that are holding a 4th balloon (representing my sister), the three floating balloons represents me and my two older brothers, and how at this stage in our life out parents have let us go, but we are not far from them, and they still have a firm hold on my little sister... kind of deep, but at the same time, it looks meaningless and fun, which is what I wanted. I always love seeing tattooed elderly people, it's cool and you know that back when they got tattooed they must have been pretty rebellious! By the time we get old though, I'm sure the rest homes will be full of tattooed people Quote:

I party with people older than my parents It would be nice having someone to incoherently talk about Dobermans with at 4am, I do try, but none of my friends want to hear about how awesome and amazing Dobermans are LOL.

| | Alpha | I'd really like to get a tattoo, I don't have any clear ideas of what I'd want though. I really love the quote, from Dracula, as they plan to enter the tomb of Lucy (who has been turned into a vampire) and her husband realizes that he has to be the one to kill the vampire that was his love. He says to Van Helsing...
"My true friend, from the bottom of my broken heart I thank you. Tell me what I am to do, and I shall not falter!"
There's something about that moment, where Arthur knows that it has to be him, and he is able to gather the strength to destroy the evil- even if it's in the form of the love of his life.
I can't decide whether I think its a stupid thing to put on my body though, I'd work it into a larger tattoo, probably one on my side. |

If you like it, its not stupid. I graduated from the school of " I could give a **** what others think". Its your body to do with what you want. If you are going to get a tattoo, get it for YOU, not someone else or what they think you should get. If someone dosen't like it or thinks that its "stupid", SCREW THEM
Just a forewarning, getting a tattoo on your side will hurt like hell. Any time you are getting a tattoo over a superficial bone (ribs, spine, foot), it hurts like hell, and this is coming from someone with a very high pain tolerance. |

Its just a cell phone photo of it, but I got it a few months ago about a month after my grandmother died. I never really had a reason to get a tattoo before, I couldn't think of anything that had real significance until then. She loved lilies and she practically raised me so I figured it was a good first tattoo.

| I have a little tiny one on the back of my ankle (which happens to be the hardest place to take a pic of) .....
That was from when it was fresh a couple years ago... It has faded a lot now since I live in a tanning bed, but it kinda suits it. Looks like a true production stamp now lol

It really does look like a production stamp I had a similar idea to get a "made in New Zealand" stamp with the made in New Zealand logo, but it's such a common tattoo here unfortunately I was thinking to make it different I could try on the bottom of my foot (like a toy)... but I might kick the tattooist as I am very ticklish and I don't know if tattooing the bottom of a foot is viable? lol

Bottom of the foot sounds awful! I had a friend get it done and I couldn't even sit with her while they did it because it made me so uncomfortable.... The tattoo artist also told us it will fade really fast and might even disappear over time.
