D-Day -5: 5am roof leaks again...but in different spots so I have to get out of bed to move the buckets. Meh. The storms the last 2 mornings have been nothing like normal summer storms. I suspect the world is attempting (evolution at work) to get mouldy before it goes...spores have a better chance of surviving an apocalypse
meh.

Amazing, it's raining here too! I think you're on to something! Perhaps you could buy more buckets so you don't have to get out of bed.

D-Day -4 : No rain this morning, woken at 5am by a full bladder instead. It's actually a perfectly normal day here today. Nothing to see here; move along, nothing to see.

I take it back...there's something seriously wrong when the Sth island is hotter than we are! We're struggling to get to 18 today!

Think again...you being a day ahead means you will die a day before us!!! The hellfire and brimstone must be going to start over there somewhere and progress east obliterating you, moving to Australia and then on to us hitting a day later than you, but still the same date, 21st. Sorry

D-Day -3 : Some bug took over my computer today. it took 4 attempts and 10 minutes to load. Plus all my cookies were wiped out. ...but no bugs were found in a scan....weirrrrd.
It's probably some secret intelligence agency wanting to pay close attention to my weather observations...or because I give my friends new identities and disguise their appearances in the life-like drawings I do of them.
This is the end of the world...where all weird things become conspiracy and there's nothing natural about the weather.

other than that...meh, it's just another day.

D-Day - 2 : Still here. It's overcast and humid which is really weird for an island this close to Antarctica. I am madly trying to use up all my hoarded LUSH bubble bath bars (I'm 300kms away...or a 1hr flight... from the closest store...so I have to make sure I have a steady supply stashed). So I am spending most of my final days in my bath.

I went grocery shopping yesterday...there were so many specials and seeing as its the last few days I treated myself to chocolates, brie cheese, and some cans of bourbon. I also bought 2 bottles of BBQ sauce...which may have been overkill to my requirements, but meh...they were less than half price! If there's barbequed animals everywhere in 2 days time...I'm ready to go out with a full belly (I'm mostly vegetarian usually).

Cans of bourbon...your bourbon comes in a can? Hmmm, ours comes in a bottle, tho not sure if the bottle is still glass or is plastic now. That sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll get some bourbon for the end days and just use the wine as a chaser. Thank you for the update!!!

Wouldn't the dogs be alerting to it, like an earthquake or something?

As for music, whatever you like would be a good choice, I guess.

As long as I don't have to eat McDonalds for my last meal, I'll be good as far as a last meal. (we're driving to California. Oh, joy)

I'll be watching from the Eiffel tower in Vegas. Splurging on a good bottle of wine, since it's the end of the world and all.
