yes - SLAP FOREHEAD - I'm not thinking. FOUR MORE YEARS all problems will be solved. We'll darn near have eutopia in 16 years, if not sooner.

doesn't the world end this December? is that this year?

it's only important to a gay couple wanting to divorce. But aren't gay couples really super happy and don't divorce anyway? so its a moot point.

No that's straight couples. You guys are setting the bar HIGH.

Said this before, say it again... The divorce thing is not a priority for any gay couple I know. You just seemed so concerned.

Come tell us who the gayest gay guy is and solve all the problems! That's the REAL issue right?

50%. that's a straight marriage statistic. so the bar isn't that high.

and, let statistics work their magic. As time marches on, and gay marriage becomes more commonplace, legal... and couples start suing each other to dissolve legal unions, divorce will be more a priority, just like it is for the 50%.

human nature is what it is.

it would be interesting to dig deeper into the statistics of the 50% of marriages that work/fail - demographics, religion, married young/old, etc.

it seems the really old farts that get written up in the newspapers for being married for two millenia:

interviewer: "what is your secret to a long happy marriage?"

the man: "well, uh, uh... dear.. tell me what to say... "

the woman: "oh frosty - his memory isn't so good - keep 'em busy, nag 'em to death - it just drains their will to fight anymore"

Well done DB. I'm impressed. I figured you for a young nitwit. I was incorrect.

Now go ask the gay couple with the dog (whose names you never bothered to learn) who lives next door... Who the "man" is and report back?

Dear America,
Please vote for Obama. Granted, we're Canadian so can't tell you - but hell, we live right next door and as Trudeau said "Living next to you is in some ways like sleeping with an elephant. No matter how friendly and even-tempered is the beast, if I can call it that, one is affected by every twitch and grunt." We would rather we lived next to an Obama pacyderm than a Romney one

Well, I live in THE oil province, so my opinion would likely differ from the mainstream.

Vote NO because if something breaks, it will be another BLAME CANADA!!!

With Obama?s re-election, doubts remain about future of Keystone pipeline

I was just about to clarify that, I meant I differed a bit in this province !

More broadly, I think of this first of all:

Dear Canada,

If you like Obama so much, you may have him.

Signed,
A Disaffected American

(I'm not going to make obvious rejoinder that while Romney's party mascot is indeed a pachyderm, Obama's is an a.........you know the rest, I'm sure.)

But, you know, I'm thinking as I write this, that it's nice to live in a country where I can write something like this without fear of repris.........hang on a second, someone's knocking at the door.......I'll be right back.........
LOL
