| | Alpha | I probably shouldn't have done this BUT I was walking Bo today and he stopped and did his business...
And some girl starts yelling from inside her house about picking up the dog poop NOW....
Now I carry bags and always pick up the poop, but having somebody YELL at me to just kind of stuck in my craw.... So I yell back at the house that maybe next time they won't run their mouth and I am not going to pick it up now.
So I just walked off and left it sitting in the driveway..... I'm not going to be talked to like that by anybody on the face of this earth....
I've really got a good mind to go to my yard and pick up more of the dog poop and spread it out in the yard... But I won't do it of course.....
But damn some people are just RUDE. |

| I think I would have picked it up in the bag, and left the bag on her driveway!! Best of both worlds.

| Hmm, that's a tough one.
I would have been sorely tempted to do what you did, but if it was in her driveway, not on grass, I think I'd have felt that was too much of an asshole move.
I mean, yeah, she was an asshole first, but, still.
It never fails, the responsible people out walking their dogs and spending time with them, get blamed for someone else's stray dogs doing drive by poopings in the night. You prolly got her pent up resentment for the other 41, 679 dogs who crap on her property.

| | Alpha | Well..I don't think it's too cool to be having your dog poop on someone else's property, even if you usually pick it up. Obviously if the dog has the runs or something, it can't be helped. Other than that, it's just...tacky. I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing the woman did, I wouldn't be a happy camper about someone's dog pooping on my property either.

| | Alpha | I don't believe it that I tell you this on the dog forum but I am actually the one "on the other side of the fence". I find it pretty disgusting to pick up "presents" on your own driveway after somebody's else dog. I clean my driveway and front lawn from dog poop at least a couple of times per week. Usually it is left by a kids or sh$$tty owners who never picks up while walking dogs. I can understand that lady's frustration when she actually saw your dog in action. She was rude - I agree. But she just spilled on you her frustration from all previous accidents that she haven't caught. I would never yell per se but if I catch a dog pooping on my lawn, I usually stay to make sure that owner will pick up. And, boy, what kind of comments I get from the dog owners. I know that I will consider the poop of my own future dog like some kind of blessing but you always need to put yourself in somebody's else shoes. Not everybody enjoy cleaning after somebody's dog.

| I can "understand" the way you felt, HOWEVER. it is NEVER cool to LEAVE A DEPOSIT on someone's property, specifically a DRIVEWAY. I mean, from what I hear from you -this person was a *itc*, but still, rememebr to always be the BETTER person! (It also shows all that your Doberman is cool too).

| I wouldn't appreciate being yelled at to pick it up right now, especially since you typically always clean up after your pets. But I wouldn't have left it there, one way or another.

I know, speaking for myself, (IMO) that the moment anyone or thing raises their voice to me -it is like magic-or perhaps like a shut off valve. My ears INSTANTLY shut OFF.
And, after repeated attacks on my ears and perhaps my sanity-poop throwing may not be the best judgement-but DAMN it would sure feel great!!!!
(Of course I would be thrilled/ashamed of myself for not taking the higher road the next day/week/month)
But...in my dreams, I would soundly sleep with a Mona Lisa smile on my lips...remembering the sh*t throw-s-l-o-w motion, in ALL it's glory!!!!!
