| Skin care Well, after reaching the grand old age of 43 about a week ago I am on the look out for recommendations on anti-ageing skincare that works!
If any of you ladies (or gents) out there can recommend any that is working for you I'd be really grateful. There's so many out there on the market that you could end up spending a fortune!
I'm particularly noticing ageing around my eyes so tips for eye creams would be good - or any other solutions you may have!
Thanks in advance.

| Amanda, I'm 45 and have used oil of olay all my life (get one with sunblock). I think it has worked well for me, everyone says I don't look my age. I get hit on by young guys alot. Of course I have not had a tan in many, many years and I think that is main reason I have aged well SO FAR. |

| I use Oil of Olay...and it keeps them guessing! It's also inexpensive compared to some of the products out there.

| Thank you for your recomendations. Looks like I need to try Oil of Olay as it seems to be giving good results.
I had been looking at Bionova (sp?) but it is expensive - don't want to pay loads if it doesn't deliver results. Oil of Olay counter here I come! |

| Renova (prescription) is the way to go! Use sunscreen, drink plenty of water, don't smoke. For a moisturizer, I like simple, inexpensive, unscented creams. Eucerin Q10 is very good; I get it at the grocery store. My skin is great.
Or maybe it was all the time spent in rinks....the preservative effect of cold!
Here's info from the site: Quote: |
While not fully understood, researchers believe that tretinoin, the active ingredient in RENOVA, works at the cellular level to reduce certain clinical signs of aging. Tretinoin is a derivative of Vitamin A. Clinical studies suggest that topical tretinoin increases collagen production and decreases collagen breakdown in the dermis to improve the skin's internal structure.

| This is really interesting -- my mom's approaching 60, and she's been using Oil of Olay all her life. She gets flattering compliments on her skin all the time! I'm starting to be a follower as well

| My mom looks very young for 55 and all she did was stay out of the sun, wear SPF 15 or higher year-round and use a moisturizer with AHA (alpha hydrox acid) or glycolic acid in it to get rid of old skin and encourage growth of new. It's not expensive at all, she uses neutrogena with AHA. |

| at a few years older than you I use Lancome products, but have used oil of olay at times. I don't smoke, rarely drink, and am not normally a sun goddess even though I lived in Florida for 25 of my years! I use a good everyday facial moisturizer and a good foundation base with an spf in it.
The best thing I have found for looking younger is not using a magnified mirror and not wearing my reading glasses when I look in the mirror ..... works like a charm

| Up till recently, I used Oil of Olay products exclusively. Now that I am in that "aging" woman bracket, I have tried several new products. I love the anti-wrinkle from Lancome. One that works well and is cheaper is L'oreal anti-aging wrinkle cream that you use day and night under your regular moisture. I still use Oil of Olay anti-aging night creme. I have started to use an eye lifter creme from Lancome that I swear by. Within minutes of putting it on, my eyelids seem to lift and the puffy look goes away.
Every one is stunned when I tell them that I will be 61 in Dec. I can't take the credit though, its in the genes!!
