Hello to all,
We will be driving from Munich to Amsterdam from Oct. 23 until Oct. 31, 2008. If anyone is in the area, I would love to hook up and meet with other Doberman people. We will be traveling with Max and Lola and are looking for pet friendly hotels and pet friendly attractions. If anyone has any information on this please give me a shout. Thanks

Awesome. What a fun trip! I'd love to do it again. I did the Munich to Amsterdam trip two years in a row (2005 & 2006) and loved it. It's the only time I've ever done the same vacation twice.

No we actually live in Greece right now and are moving back to the USA. This will be our last trip this year. We have a summer house in Greece and a house in the states we live in the rest of the year.

Ok, serious though. If you're into art, there's two museums right across from one another in Munich that are a couple of really nice ones. I highly recommend this one Alte Pinakothek [Museum] . It has a lot of significant paintings in it (the Rubens are my favorite). Of course the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam is nice too. Wait...I just remembered something. You said you were taking your dogs. Museums and dogs may be a bit difficult. Not sure how you'd pull it off, unless you left them at the hotel. Either way...have a good one and let us know how it goes. I'm jealous.

About the dog friendly hotels, most of the motorway (freeway) hotels allow dogs. we travelled through
France and Spain and our dogs (dobe and rottie) were welcome in all of them. Have a great trip!!
