 | Horse people- anyone just watch Curlin win?
Curlin has now won $10.2 million dollars in winnings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a boy!!!!!!!
I had the TV on to ESPN news because I saw they were going to broadcast the Gold Cup with Curlin this afternoon. It's been nothing but football for hours! I was in another room when I heard "and around the far turn....." and I practically fell over the cat to get to the family room to see the TV.
It was Curlin! He won in the slop to be the all time leading money winner in North America, beating Cigar with $9.9 million.
I think they are finally selling off his 20% ownership (which currently is held by those phen/phen lawyers in jail). I guess he'll retire then. It's been wonderful to see him race as a 4 yr old. |

| Just saw on bloodhorse.com that Curlin ships out tomorrow to CA to get used to the polytrack surface....he will run in the Breeder's Cup and meet Big Brown for a show down. (Curlin's race today is already posted on bloodhorse.com on video).

 | Sigh. I used to love to watch horseracing. (And had an uncanny ability to pick the winner.)
But, I know too much now, and after Barbaro I was wavering. Eight Belles clinched it.
I made a vow to never watch or support it again.
It sucks. I wish they could do it differently, but until they do, I won't be watching.
