| My first flight in my new Lear Jet!! Okay okay...but I have to say that Microsoft Flight Simulator X is awesome!! You cannot really tell how good it is from just the pictures I am posting here, but it gives an idea of what you can expect. I put on some smooth music and decide where in the world I would like to fly, what time of day/night, any kind of weather, and what kind of plane. I can take a trip flying thru the Swiss Alps during a full moon, fly around the Caribbean during a sunset or cruise thru a Maryland Autumn(my favorite place)...all without leaving home.
The effects and simulation is really really high quality and it is super easy to fly, allowing what I call "dummy" settings - you can wreck or fly thru trees and buildings until you get the hang of it. I highly recommend this and you can try it out for free if you want. The best version if you decide to buy it is only 40 bucks! One of the coolest things is that MS designed this to be added to and there is a HUGE website with thousands of members that have created all kinds of AMAZING add-ons from scenery, airplanes, options etc etc. There is more at the website than actually comes with the original program!!
Waves move toward and crash on the shore, cars and trucks are moving on the roads, clouds move and grow, rain and snow falls realistically - on and on.
I dont know about you, but this is quite a dream come true for me, to be able to do something so realistic, at any time, anywhere in the world. This is an ENORMOUSLY beautiful experience. Flight Simulator X
Here are some shots I took during my "vacation" tonight after dinner, lol - again, you have to see this in motion to get an idea of the realism:
look up at the colors and detail in the sky in the background on this one:

Lol! I spent 4 solid days last weekend reading my arse off and got thru the first hump of the semester. Then I indulged myself this download. And no, I am not studying flying but sure would be nice to.
Got A's on both of my first tests of the semester too - yay. Now I get to spend this weekend writing a paper on Nietzsche.

However, I am telling my better half about it, he would really like it, I'm sure! So thank you for the good review!

| Well I am a woman, and I can't wait to try it! We went to a corporate event last year that had you in the cockpit of a fighter jet while going through simulated air battles. It was super cool. Thanks for the link!
By the way, I also own my own set of tools including power tools. I do electrical work around the house, plumbing, and anything else that needs done. My other half could do it, but I'm usually too impatient to wait. Also I just replaced the carpet in my 1963 Valiant convertible this summer, as well as the alternator and starter. Girls rule!!

I will share with you this. A while ago while cleaning up I came across a box of old college papers I had written. Going through them 150 years latter It was like someone else had written them - scary feeling but life takes many twists and turns - enjoy your youth !!!
