Now, if they want to take a few millions from a millionaires and billionaires here and there and slide some my way, maybe I'll just look the other way. I got bills to pay.

Huh? Point me to one Democrat on here who has protested paying their share of taxes?
That statement isn't worthy of you.

That statement isn't worthy of you. | RFR - I meant the leaders. The rich Democrats. And the rich Republicans for that matter. If the leaders care so much about sharing the wealth, how about they lead by example and shed a few tax shelters and actually pay more taxes AND how about they pay out of their excess to charity and give up a few of the extra homes and vacation rentals. That's what I meant. It's far easier for them to make promises then turn around and say hey, you, give them some of your paycheck.

| I think we all agree with paying our share... its the differences in our interpretations of what that share is. |

Oh, okay. I couldn't agree more, with that part.
Most of the regular folks can't afford fancee CPAs to cook their books and get them out of so much of the tax bill.

Then it becomes more like not *agreeing* with paying income taxes, but paying them because the alternative is prison. So it changes from a patriotic duty viewpoint to a "I fear the government" viewpoint. Incomes taxes on private citizens certainly were not in the original framework of the constitution and when they were levied, example to pay for the civil war, they were repealed later because they were so unpopular.
