| Books anyone!!???? So I am super bored at work today and just want it to end so I was wondering...???
What books do you all like to read or what are some good reads that you have read lately?
I am starting to become a HUGE book nerd the last couple of years and would like some recommendations on what you all like.
I like a bunch of Stephen King books. I liked the Gunslinger series...
I also like Harry Potter ( I know I am a nerd but I dont care that I am 26 and read Harry Potter ok!!!??? )
I am also reading the Twilight series by Stephen Meyer.
I am also into Anne Rice and her Vampire series...
I have read some Dean Koontz books.
Narnia series....
Lord of the Rings...
Anywhoo.... Ok I could keep going but what do you all like?? |

| Ooh, great books! I too am a fan of Stephen King, Harry Potter, and Dean Koontz...
But my favorite books are the Anita Blake Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton! She is by far my favorite author.
I know, now I'm the dork.
But they're vampire/lycanthrope books if anyone is interested (they are my favorite type of books to read), and her characters are simply fantastic.
Books can get a little R rated from time to time though...

Vamps are my FAVE subject to see movies or read books about! I know some people think that I am weird too! But I dont care. It just kinda fascinates me for some reason.... My mom kinda thinks that it is weird cause she thinks its "evil" (not really) but she just doesn't do anything that is even close to horror! I will have to check out the Laurell K Hamilton ones!!
Now you got me excited about more book possibilities! I am going to have my own library of Vamp and other type of books pretty soon! |

Lol Vampire books are my favorite -- and don't feel too bad, my Mom thinks it's "evil" too. *sigh* But she actually thinks I'm evil... lol
But if you are a vampire/dark book fan, you'll love her!!! They even did a comic book series from the books. I don't read those, but I think it's neat.
The books are well written, keep you turning the pages, and have a few risque pages here and there...

| here's a collage of the comic book...though don't be fooled by the picture -- her actual novels aren't "cartoony" at all!
(if i'm not allowed to post this, oops, let me know and i'll take it off...)

| I'm a huge book geek
I'm a big sci-fi/fantasy fan but I read anything and everything that piques my interest and catches my eyes, fiction and non-fiction. I have a long list of authors that i like apart from the regular sci-fi/fantasy classics, but i'm brain-dead right now becaucse i'm in the middle of work and can't list most of them *embarassed grin* One of my biggest regrets in life right now is not keeping up with the book list of books that i've read that i started when i was about 8 or 9. *sigh*
Here are two authors that i recently came across that i can definitely recommend:
Mary Roach (non-fiction): i finished "Boink", and am going to start on "Stiff" next. Very interesting books ... i won't tell you what they are about, but you should check them out if you get the chance
Christopher Buckley (fiction): Just finished "Boomsday", in the middle of "Thank you for smoking" ... just HILARIOUS. Thankfully i have a whole bunch of his other books just waiting to be devoured lol

| | Big Dog | I LOVE Dean Koontz! I don't know anyone else that reads his books, so I was excited that a couple of you like him. I've read all of his books and have most of them. But, I think my all time favorite book is Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. |
