Thanks....I didn't know how to spell it, I do know it is very serious for him at this point. Nancy said if they don't get a handle on it ASAP....he could still die. So far he is a fighter...so just hoping it continues.

| I'm so sorry to hear that and hope they get it cleared up soon. Not that your sister needs to be scared worse than she is, but MRSA is easy to spread. She is under stress (which makes you more likely to get sick), and could easily pick it up from him and get some small cut infected or something. Stress to her how important it is to wash her hands after being in his room and touching him. She can carry it home and can also spread it to folks that are not very healthy or kids and old people. Animals can get it from us also. When a hospital worker contacts a patient with MRSA, they have to wear a plastic gown and gloves. Afterwards they have to scrub good and clean anything the patient had contact with or they did after touching the patient. It can be beat so don't be discouraged, just tell her to be super careful. He needs her healthy. I will continue to pray for him. |

| S....thanks for letting me know....I will tell Nancy that she needs to be careful. She is really stressed, works all day, drives an hour to the hospital every single night to spend time with him.

| Carol,
How awful for Tony to have this new problem. It is nothing to be sneezed at either as it is infectious and very serious. Your poor sister, working full time and then being at the hospital. Make sure she is taking lots of vitimins. She will need all her strength when he recovers and goes home. It is a hard staph to fight, but with the right meds he will make a full recovery. Hospitals are the #1 place to contract staph. When I was in the hospital, that was on my mind constantly. One has to be so careful.
I haven't been logging in lately as I am still recovering, but I am thinking of you all and pray that Tony gets better very soon.
