After Lucas bout with colitis I am wondering if I should switch him on a LID. He is on fromm and seem to be doing well although his poops weren't always the hardest. I had him on raw and he was doing well but the expense was alot. And I cant find the organs other that liver and chicken inners. Pork gives him straight diarrhea so that leaves out a cheaper meat. He has been on fromm now for a month or so. He is always gassy and he has the worst case of dandruff. I want him to be healthy and I am at a lost on what to feed him.

My cats have a similar IBS type thing and do fantastic on raw. I could NOT find a kibble or canned that worked for them. My dogs and cats get mostly chicken and turkey. I find chicken at the store quite often for 79 cents a lb. Turkeys always go on sale at least once a year for 50 cents a lb. Usually each customer can get 1. I go in and out or keep going back. I get rainchecks for the other chicken. I do have a coop I get organs from which are only 10% of the diet. Liver is at all stores but pricey at the store. Liver is only 5%. I feed prey model. I also get beef, goat, lamb from the coop. I get pork at the store.
