FirstMate

I have a new puppy coming in a couple of weeks and have been looking at a couple of foods. Interested in what others have to say about this food. Trying to stay away from companies that have had a lot of recalls.
My old dobie was on CANIDAE and did very well on this until the last couple of months of her life. I was not impressed with the delay in the recall. She did get sick from this food and it has left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth.
My friends dobe is doing very well on FirstMate but only put him on it and he was two. Like that this is a small Canadian company and what is in it.
Anyone have a puppy on this food?

We have our 16 month old on the Pacific Ocean Formula.
After having issues with TOTW and Canidae not giving us consistently "solid" results I spoke to the manager at our local high end store about Cato's issues and what we've tried/what we want. He recommended it mostly for the restricted ingredients (we thought Cato might be allergic to something in TOTW.)
Cato is doing very well on it. Perfect weight for his size. His coat looks wonderful. And everything is solid and consistent. The price seems higher than it is but Cato eats less of it in a day than he did with any other kinds of food.
