I recently changed to grain-free at our vet's suggestion, because my Lucy has digestive issues. Both of my dogs are thriving on the Orijen brand of food. It's a bit pricey, and not sold locally, but thank Heaven for the internet and the ability to buy anything (even pet food) online. I've found the difference in Lucy's health to have been well worth the extra $$ spent on dog food!

I feed my dogs a grain free diet, and I supplement with raw meaty bones, fruits and vegetables. I have to be careful of what food I feed, because my girl has difficulties with high percentages of protein, and a lot of grain free food seems to have 25%+. I have to stick between 20 and 23%, or she gets very sick.

As a very special treat, I give them some uncooked spaghetti. For some reason, Sonya absolutely loves it, even more than her biscuits. It's very strange.

I bought EVO, which is grainfree. I'll eventually be switching him to raw. I've had too many dogs with too many troubles and allergies with grains to even consider it nowadays. Closest they get is a bit of rice when they're dealing with an upset tummy.

Baby Kelly is now home and from 9.5 weeks old, is eating "all life stage" (ALS) kibble:
- no puppy brand kibble
- currently a 50-50% blend of Holistic Blend Lamb & Rice / Organix Chicken & Salmon
Treats only Wild Alaskan Salmon &/or Organic biscuits plus marrow bones from the butcher shop.

When new bag opened, her kibble blend will consist of:
- Holistic Blend Lamb & Rice http://www.holisticblend.com/en/food...lamb-and-rice/
- Holistic Blend Turkey & Salmon (grain free) http://www.holisticblend.com/en/food...as/grain-free/

My dogs aren't technically grain free as their food has rice, barley, and oatmeal. We are, however, corn, wheat and soy free due to skin issues. Not sure if its a true allergy, but Bruno gets all kinds of itchy with corn and wheat.
