| | Banned | Pro Plan Poll Ok, I was curious out of all you Pro Plan feeders out there.... Do your dogs have gas on this food? I cannot get over it, Peaches has god awful gas on it. Cali had gas on it (not as bad but still the same smelling farts) and Zuko now has gas on it. So who feeds it, what kind, and do they fart a lot? I am hoping to find out if it is the Shredded bits that cause this or not..

| Pro Plan Selects Turkey & Barley.
Red has gas, but its not consistent... some nights he'll stink up the whole house, and some nights nothing at all. I think some of it has to do with the treats I give. He was somewhat gassy on other foods too, so I don't think its specifically the Pro Plan. Every dog is going to be different though.

Peaches is back on raw 100% and she is gas free but now Zuko is blowing out the EXACT same smell. You cannot blame it on the dog because the dog smell is very very distinct.
On another note, I thought I made the option on the poll so you could see who voted on what but I cannot pull that up. I suck at making polls.

| I fed Selects Salmon and Rice and no gas - I switched them to cal natural because I could get it at a better price - all 3 did really well on the PPSelects though - I agree with Burns if they get gas it's usually when they have had a cookie

| | Alpha | I feed the Selects Salmon. They have a little gas. Some days are worse thatn others, but like others mentioned it depends on what treats they get. If they are gassy, I give some plain yogurt and it helps. I do have Mylanta Gas tablets on hand though, just in case they get to bad. They do great on the food though. |

| We use Sensitive Skin and Stomach for both dogs. My allergy dog does fantastic on it. She is the only one who has any sort of gas, and that is normal for her on most foods.

| I feed pro plan salmon, and xasper gets the High energie food, just curious, what do you pay in the US for a bag of 15 kg pro plan salmon, here it is allready 67 euro's, just want to know if the price is as high as it is here
My dogs have almost no bad gas, only Yordi, but that is something he always have had, no matter what I feed him. Beside the proplan, I give them also ray meat mixed with tripe, they just love it! |

| Pro Plan Selects Salmon & Brown Rice because of what I've read on here. Some gas, and pretty stinky when she has it... Bella seems to be doing good on it, the vet just commented on how great of condition she's in.

| Dude, I know this isnt on your list, but I have been feeding all my dogs Nutro Max, Chicken rice and lamb, for 10 years now. It is a very highly rated food and none of them have had gas or any other problems on it.
I know Nutro Max has some types that are not high quality, but THIS particular blend has been stellar for us, without fail. And it is consistently rated at the very top of their product list.
If you look at this independent analysis, this food scored 10/10 on a very strict breakdown. It is in the left hand column on the page. Nutro Dog Foods - Healthy Dog Foods? Reviews and News
Like I said, not all of their food is great, but this particular blend and a few of their others are stellar. But I know it depends on the dog's chemistry as well. Im just letting you know that I have had awesome results with 3 very different breeds. |

| I dont feed Pro Plan I feed TOTW, But Nariko would get terrible gas, so what I did was at dinner time added a few globs of fat free plain yogurt (1 tablespoon for every 20lbs). She loves it, and low and behold it worked, its been over a month and she rarely passes gas now, and seems a lot happier too! |
