I'm currently feeding Purina Pro Plan Lamb and Rice but I may go back to Innova which I like better. PPP is better for the money and they seem healthy but Q's coat, although pretty and soft, is not out of this world soft like it was a few months ago before I switched. I must admit that with the PPP, we have less DOBER GAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That is on the good list. :biggthump
I hope I am putting this in the right place, it is my first time sharing in a couple of years.
Have you tried the ppp Salmon and Rice, way less gas and the fish oil makes the coat supper soft and the skin really nice.
I'm using the adult Chicken/Rice/Veg & puppy Chicken/Rice mixed together because the puppies were eating Hooters Adult & he was eating their puppy formula. LOL, I combined them together into an automatic feeder that holds 10 pounds at a time.
I have had all my dogs on this food forever & it always worked well for us. I don't see why everyone dislikes this food so much, the label doesn't really make me feel bad about giving it too them.
I also suppliment with Omegas from Dr. Foster's & Smith, and Prozyme.
The puppies get canidae chicken/rice ALS wet 2x a day in addition. Unfortunately it's giving them gas & cowpie poops.
Just in the process of switching to Go! Natural Salmon and Oatmeal. Was on Natural Balance Sweet Potatoe and Venison, will go back if Riggs and his allergies can not handle Go!
I'm nearing the end of a california natural herring & sweet potato bag. I'm switching to EVO or Innova if we have problems on EVO. I would really like to feed Canidae but with the formula change and since I get Natura food for free it wouldn't make sense.
Orijen (both regular adult and the Fresh Fish) and Great Life. I'll do a bag of Orijen, and then the next bag will be Great Life (buffalo). The 29.7lb bag of Orijen lasts 3 months, and the 35lb bag of Great Life lasts nearly 4 months so it's not like I'm changing every month.
??? wow, three months? my 29.7lbs (13.5kg) puppy orijen bag lasts for about a month, slightly less, actually. and I thought I"m feeding too little! how does that work out? looks like you have a big dog too!
